strange thread thought everyone agreed that the 3 stars relate to the holy trinity and the fact the club was orginally founded by St marks church in gorton. the original crest was a cross. father jones told me this, if you wear the city shirt you are accepting christ the lord as your saviour.

the crest is crap - outdated at best - needs to be updated to something with class and longevity .

Our crest should be just the shield in the middle. A simple shield works fine for Barcelona and AC Milan. Sack off the daft stars, the United 1958 FA Cup final eagle, and the cheesy Latin (doesn't it mean "too much pride/arrogance in battle" anyway?).

At most keep the swirly banner at the bottom and have "Manchester City F.C." written in there instead of the Latin rubbish and put "1984" in place of "M.C.F.C."

What happened to the previous 90 years?
