Has it EVER been this bad?

I remember the times we all knew who all the cabinet ministers were and most of the shadow cabinet as well. We had "big hitters" galore on both sides. And now we have pond life like Therese Coffee, Suella Braverman, Angela Rayner and Richard Burgon? Jesus wept. It's depressing beyond words.

I struggle to think of more than maybe 2 or 3 MPs that I actually don't mind. Most of them, Tory and Labour are completely odious and the ones that aren't are largely clueless.

We really need "None of the above" on the next GE ballot paper.

No, I get that Sadds, but my point is, the thread title is The State of British Politics. And the opening statement is, Has it ever been this bad.
That’s what you are all feeling at the moment, internally.
I’d wager that you would get a similar or worse response from external countries that were part of the ‘Empire’, so to speak.
The other side of colonialism wouldn’t look on British ‘Politics’ as favourably as yourselves may have done in the past.
 
Politicians are elected to DO things. In nearly 14 years very little has been done. It started by stripping away funding and hollowing out the state. What you end up with is a Parliament of bullshitters who talk the talk but are incapable of walking the walk. The reasons for that are many - denied funding to do their pet projects - Party against their views ( hit pre-Brexit purge mode ) - not interested in doing anything just using the job to raise their profile and advance their career.

As a result you end up with shallow bullshitters and idealogues who like promoting people who align with them and their ideas but they can see that these new recruits are dumber than them so represent no threat. Try and convince people things are getting better than they are and hey presto you arrive at your ultimate destination......Vice Chairman of your Party is a man like 30p Lee - a cardboard cut out of a thug with the political acumen of a shrew. If we allow the bar to be set that low we have the political class we deserve

Yeh that's a bit of a mystery, I know in the past on here people have took the piss how she talks, Common and with a lisp that grates on them. They have a Homeless shelter in Ashton at The Station Pub and it feeds around 100+ everyday. She was putting her paid appearances from LBC and when she was DJing with Burnham towards that cause.
 
Need a third option since I have no clue what the hell the Liberal Democrats stand for these days.

Looking at a hung parliament at this rate.
