If you end up with a team like that then your in dream land, i think people are aiming a little too high. Is Bellamy going to be able to play 28 games again next season too, i think a winger could be another good purchase, and obviously then we would be looking at a squad to compete with the best. The above signings could allow you to cope with most injuries comfortably and rotate with ease, Slotting barry in when a 5-man midfield is needed, calling on Adebayor when we need something different upfront, De Jong, Lescott all being there, Ireland if he stays to refind his form, we hope!

Its interesting to note that Mancini has an excellent reputation for bringing young players through.

He has already proved that at City with his decisions on Boyata and others.

Our spending, and the players we'll go for, in the summer are entirely dependant upon who our manager is. I'm far from convinced it'll be Mancini, regardless of whether or not we make it into the Champion's League. Without wishing to regurgitate other people's statements/opinions there's more than a hint that Mourinho may well be our manager. He's made absolutely no secret that he:-

A - Wants out of Italy.

B - Wants to return to England.

That only really gives him three potential options, the Rags, Liverpool and City. I don't think Fergie is quite ready to relinquish control at The Swamp just yet so that's them out of the running, and I don't think Liverpool have the financial backing Mourinho would want, he'll not be able to make them competitive in a title-challenging way on the limited budget they've got.

You can say it's bull but I'd never ever say who I spoke to. Man of principle. Only speak to my guy every few weeks but he seemed giddy enough to get me excited!!

I really have a feeling that a Kaka will be with us next season, he is not setting the Bernabau on fire and is very much understudy to Ronaldo. And in certain games he has been given the bird from the crowd.

Even though he is Brazilian, he has a very different make up than Jo and Robinho. He has a strong character and very much a team player with a great attitude and work ethic. Amongst the top 3 players in the world !!
