Are you joking, gerrard would be an immense signing and exactly the sort of player that our midfield needs, he might be getting on a bit but we have the cash to make liverpool think about it and i'm sure he wouldnt mind a move here, plenty of england teammates in the squad, doesnt have to move far and can have a proper shot at the title! I'd love it if he came here.

We don't need a lot guys, in my opinion all we need are 2 new full backs, a left winger and one extra option for attacking midfield.

I think 6 players to complete the squad and move us on to that "Champions League" level should be :-

1. David Villa - The best striker in the world
2. Fernando Torres - The best striker in Premier League
3. Steven Gerrard - Box to box driving midfielder and leader on the pitch
4. Mesut Ozil - Creative genius
5. Phillip Lahm - Quality full back on either side of the pitch
6. Maicon - Lung bursting right back with a superb delivery

With these additions we would most certainly make an assault for the title and all other major trophy's. They would give us many options on formations and tactics.
