He's some legend, thankfully we'll still have his services with Ireland. He's been such a servant and leader for City and will be truely missed. Pity he had to go, but I suppose it's best for him and after all these years of outstanding services and several back to back player of the year, can't really begrudge him the move, just wish him the best of luck in the future. He was the one stood up and fought the hardest for us in the hard times. Best of luck in the future lad, and will look forward to seeing him with Ireland and hopefully in the WC.

He was a great captain and a great lad, and gave nothing but outstanding service to us over the years, and will
get a warm welcome back from our fans each time we meet him along the way.

He really was Man City through and through and will be remembered as the great servant he was for us. Thanks for the memories Dunny!!

Thanks Dunney! going to miss those last ditch takles and blocks. Also deceptively good feet for a big man. 4 seasons on the bounce player of the year is a fantastic achievement and it's a shame he won't be at the club till the end of his career. Had the pleasure of meeting the big man on a few occasions and he was quiet and very modest, a true gent. He'll be remembered fondly long after he's retired and no doubt he'll get a rousing reception on his first appearance back.

It is a sad day to be a sky blue. For a n00b like me, Dunne personified what City was about, and it was hard not to love him.

But different times calls for different measures, and I suppose this is for the best.

I just wished you could have had a chance to show your stuff with Lescott or Toure beside you.

Know this. When we finally got you some support so that you didn't have to do two jobs (the cause of most of the gaffs last year), you kept 3 clean sheets, 2 away and 1 against Barca.

They will never know how good you could have been in a normal defense, and I hope we don't find out when we play Villa in the second last game of the season.
