The Titanic

Lol. Didn't you want to deport desperate people to Rwanda to "save them" a few months back. People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

No one ever said they'd enjoy it just expressed indifference. No need to make shit up.

No i wanted desperate people not to take the dangerous journeys across the channel so there wouldn’t be anymore drownings.

before too long some wealthy people will die in a botched launch or re-entry of a "space" rocket. A few people are so wealthy and are thrill seekers that they have done what others can do - sky diving/bungee jumping/ etc and they want more and can afford more so this sort of thing is inevitable. I don't like so called experts on TV telling us this submersible was a death trap and designed to fail - whatever its still people involved. We live in a world where disclaimers and NDA's seem to buy people immunity... fuck that regulate these things - you walk past a kebab shop with a hygiene rating of 2 and you think you will swerve that one same with sky diving and yes deep sea submersibles if you see a 2 out of 5 rating you may think thats not for you and look for something with a better rating.

Do some not realise non wealthy people take risks and adventures all the time on a daily basis ? skiiing, climbing mountains , rock climbing, sky diving, bungee jumping - the list is endless - the constant need to point out they’re wealthy is a look of bitterness and jealousy imo.

This sad episode shows you all the money in the world can't buy you common sense. I watched a clip of the man who owns this vessel talking about it and showing the cameraman around. One look at it and listening to him would tell you participating in this venture was lunacy. In one segment he was rattling on about how it was controlled by a fucking play station controller. The bloody submarine looked like it had been built in his garden shed out of old parts. The late Sir Clive Sinclair could have done a better job.

" Hey come with me, I'm taking this heap of tin 12,000 miles below the ocean. I know it doesn't look up to much and I sound a bit crazy but it will be a great adventure!" He could have offered me one of his billions and I still wouldn't have got in the bugger.

There are risks and there are risks - £20 will get you a curry in a restaurant with a rating of 1 - the bigger the risk the more it seems to cost. We don't point it out the access and publicise they are seeking thrills that are more and more costly because they can afford them. That is simply factual reportage.

Cost of climbing a 5000 foot mountain is free, thousands of people do it every day.

Bungee jumping, Jumping out a plane, abseiling, scuba diving, rock climbing, the list is endless are all relatively cheap and affordable and will always tragically have a rare occurrence of fatalities.

Again, no one whether rich or poor deserve to die because they want to have some thrill in their lives.
