The Titanic

Any reason why it’s every half an hour, maritime code if in distress ? I’d be at it every minute or so although there’s no chance you’d ever catch me in one of those.
No need to do it all the while, saves energy, the fact that it's in any rhythmic cycle means that the searchers know its man made I'm guessing.

I remember reading that the US recovered a crashed F35 plane from greater depths in the South China Sea last year, to stop the Chinese getting their hands on its technology. This was done with an ROV attaching a surface winch line. So they have the capability to recover this vessel if they can find it. Its just about doing it in an incredibly short time frame.

I hope they can get to it but feel it will be a one shot chance to attach a cable to it and get it to the surface asap

If there's 40 hours of oxygen left for five people, there's 200 hours worth for one.

If the skipper has any brains, the rescue team will have a few more days to find four bodies alongside him.
Probably not quite 200, there'd be lots of exertion and hyperventilation involved, especially in cramped quarters like that.

Sounds like a bit of a maverick setup from these guys. PlayStation controller to control the vessel, lights from Camping World, etc. No backup or rescue options been set up in case of emergencies, no proper testing and adherence to standards. How did they get away with charging people for that.

And the maddest part is the CEO has gone down with them
