Do people really believe Liverpool are going to go on a massive winning streak though based off what they've seen so far?

If say we win 11 of 15, draw 2 and lose 2, we'd be on 91 points. Liverpool can only hit 96 at max, which means they'd need to win AT LEAST 15 out of their last 17 games to beat that.

Of course Liverpool could still win it, but it feels like we're just being modest about it. I doubt most sane Liverpool fans are expecting much.

They are not likely to do it, but then again, were we likely to win 15 games in a row after we drew with United and WBA last season? Liverpool fans probably thought after those draws back then they were going to walk the league. Personally, I was optimistic that we were going to win the league, but most on here didn't believe at all. We didn't have a striker to begin with!

Tendencies over 20 games may change. Liverpool won 27 from the first 28 games in 19/20 and then lost form and couldn't reach 100 pts. The opposite may happen, they may hit form and finish strongly. It's not likely, but not impossible.

Should people worry? Not really, only those who think it's done :) The rest realise we are in a very good position, we have a top manager and a top squad, but football is a funny old game. A scenario similar to 18/19 may happen, but with us winning the CL. I dream about a double/treble. This City team is that good, imo. But only time can tell. May remain just a dream.

Liverpool are the only team in the past decade who have been able to go on the sort of run that would be needed to catch us.

Liverpool haven't been close to that sort of form for 24 months now.

Assuming hte scousers win all their games upto the point they play us we have got (inthe prem):

Brentford (Home)
Norwich (Away)
Spurs (home)
Everton (away)
Utd (home)
Palace (away)
Brighton (Home)
Burnley (Away)

then the scousers (at home)

Looking at that there a a few difficult games in it
Spurs....beat us earlier int he season and then were dreadful but have been much improved under Conte - very difficult game

Utd - have improved in the last few gaems under Ragnik......they always have the players to hurt us on the brea and they agre getting used to Ragnicks way of playing. .......which is about getting the ball forward as quick as possible - tricky game

Palace away - (another team like Southampton) who always give us a hard time.

Scousers run upto our game is:

Palace (away)
Leicester (home)
Burnely (away)
Norwich (home)
Arsenal (away)
West Hame (home)
Brighton (away)
Utd (home)
Watford (Home)

then us

You look at that and there aint many hard games in there at all..... Palace tomorrow and maybe utd......but thats at anfield and utd will wilt there

we are going to have to be near perfect to not create a situation where they can get above us by beating us at home.....
What a load of bollocks, Dippers have equally tough games as us.

The next 3 games for them are against sides that can do them.
Arse & BHA away are not easy either.

Scousers getting giddy after Citys first dropped points in 13 games
If City go on another winning run it’ll be “City should be winning the title every year they’re basically an oil funded state we’re playing” again
