They've matched us for squad depth and quality. New level. Hopefully we can take it up a notch next season. But unless we pull something out of the bag lfc will eclipse our achievements probably by winning everything this year.
It doesn't feel like it now because of the tension but this is a fantastic time for football in this country. City and Liverpool are reaching levels never seen before, both in goals scored and points achieved. If Liverpool win this season by winning 17 out of the last 18 games (similar to us in 2019) they will deserve it. If we want to win we will have to beat them. The margins are very fine and perhaps our lack of a proper striker is really hurting us now. That's life. Next season we will have one of the best in the world in Haaland (hopefully) and that will push us up another notch.

Should of beat Palace and Southampton but we didn't.
Just like the dippers should have beaten Brentford, Brighton (something we can’t afford to be happening tonight) and Leicester.
Whoever ends up in second place is going to have regrets but people only tend to remember their own team’s dropped points!

Yup, much the same sentiments here. I don't think the football we're seeing right now can be bettered, ever. And city are part of it.

100% but as much as people are getting carried away by Liverpool now, they've got 1 x CL, 1x league and 1 x league cup to show for their brilliance. They could end the season with that still being the case as well.

Now is the time we need to start clicking into gear. The dippers are in great form, rotating players and winning scoring lots of goals and it feels like the momentum is with them. But the league is still in our hands and we can definitely win all 7 and retain the title. This time next week we could still be top by 1pt and with 5 games to go which suddenly feels a lot more doable. And we could have one foot in the CL final.

Momentum can shift quickly.

Love the positivity. I remain optimistic, especially for the PL. After watching last night I can't see LFC dropping any points. They have gained momentum from the semi-final win (I feared this would happen) but we have been better during the run-in than any other club in the last decade (even before Pep) so bring it on.

We need the hammers to get to the Europa final, as it’s scheduled to be played 3 days after the City game
( that’s of course if we’re still alive in the race)
Very true we need to win the next few games before worrying about WH it would of course be nice if they had a European Final to look forward to if this game turns out to be critical.
