After being robbed against spurs in QF of chumps league 3 yrs ago we had to play them again at Saturday dinnertime.
Our boys were obviously deflated but we had to pick ourselves up and win cos we were in another tight title battle with the dippers.
We did and went on to win the league again.
I was massively impressed with Pep and the boys with that result and have every faith that we will use that time to help us get to the finishing line again this season to remain Champions

If we don't finish with 1 point more than the Vermin then it will all be for nowt. We haven't got anywhere near the heights of other years despite the points tally. Struggled in plenty of games and were fortunate with a few calls that went our way.
Plenty of posters opinioned that no striker would cost us dearly this Season.
As far as the title goes I hope they were wrong.

What heights? Win 4 more games and we'll be on 92pts. 3 less that 18/19 and 5 less than 17/18. So a striker may have helped us win games by a few more goals. Maybe the 7-0 against Leeds would have been 9-0?

The Mahrez pen against Spurs was a bad decision in my eyes. Didn't make a difference to the result. The Rodri handball at Everton was also a bad decision. I'm sure we had a few go against us too. And in previous seasons had some good and some bad decisions.

A striker hasn't cost us this season. Losing to Real Madrid was a result of conceding 6 goals in the 2 games. We scored 5 against them and that should have been enough. We nearly went 3-0 up within the first 30 minutes. Having a striker might have put those chances away but we scored 4 against them at home. It was poor defending that led to two of their goals in the home leg. And further poor defending that led to all three of their goals at the Bernabeu.

Without Van Dijk Liverpool were shocking last season. We've missed Dias and Stones at various times this season and they are undoubtedly our best CB pairing.

Last game against villa will be a ten man defence from them, I hate these games and surprised we don't get more penalties by driving into the box or handballs by trying to lift the ball past them. We will still beat all of them so nothing dippers can do to stop us.

My feeling after last night is the Hammers will be very flat. Oddly, I now see that as an easier game than if they had been in the final.
I think this'll go to the wire and that we'll have to win against Villa. That suits me fine. I have a very happy memory of the Villa match in the rain where about half the crowd turned up about ten minutes after kick-off (some problem on Mancunian Way, I believe), the edginess until Edin scored, and then party time rounded off with one of the greatest goals I've seen in my life, from Yaya. More of that, please.

% chances of a win

CITY
Newcastle 84%
Wolves 77%
West Ham 65%
Villa 70%

Liverpool
Spurs 67%
Villa 61%
Southampton 75%
Wolves 79%

So we have the advantage next two games and they have it for the last two.

Contrary to what most people think the highest chance of dropped points of all the games is Villa away for Liverpool (unless Gerrard helps them)

Just numbers. Hardly meaningful.

We were favoured to win against Real ahead of the game.

I like reading them too, but it is by no means any sign of an advantage.

We’re not winning the league.
Let’s hope you’re as wrong about this as you are about almost everything else…..
If offered beat Newcastle and Villa at home and West Ham and Wolves away to GUARANTEE the title when we kicked off in August, I’d have snatched your hand clean off……..
