If anyone needs anything extra to worry about, I just read that there's a real possibility of a "39th game" playoff, what with the head-to-head being all square and both teams on the same number of goals scored, and only 3 difference between goals conceded. We'd have to let in three more goals than them over the rest of the season, while scoring the same amount as them, for that to remain a possibility. Probability only about 1% I reckon but could still do without it.

We would then have to lose at home to Villa on the last day for it to even come into contention.

Yes but they wouldn't know that when they are playing Southampton so would maybe go for lots of goals to catch up on the goal difference in the hope that we lose against villa.
