At least we now know we have to go for the win, Sure Villa and Gerard will want to spoil the party but we will be bang up for this knowing a win sees the title retained, I am expecting us to come out all guns blazing and blow them away in the first half.
Just hope we don't go in with the same attitude the payers admitted to this week as we did against QPR. Oh we will win this easily

Plus, they said they never slept and the pressure got to them understandably. It won’t be easy next week but hopefully an early goal to calm nerves.

Slightly different this time but still pressure, this group of players have been here before as in winning the league, but I’m sure pep won’t be taking villa for granted you don’t get to be in our position if you don’t ..

Wolves and Southampton combined goal difference over the last 6 fixtures - 20. We will need to win next Sunday, but very confident we can win comfortably.

Not really in reality, of course it is mathematically possible.

Liverpool will have to win by a large margin Tuesday, we’ll have to lose vs Villa whilst they draw to Wolves, all making sure GD is the exact same whilst goals for is too.

The chances are so slim it’s not worth thinking about.
Oh dear, I really wish you hadn't written that,
As a prestonian I remember our donkey lashing friends disappearing to Majorca one year needing a cornucopia of results to get them relegated. Guess what happened?
Been a ST 50 years, They will always make me nervous.

So despite at 1st glance today being a little disappointing by not winning the game, I believe we will ultimately benefit from now knowing exactly what we must do next Sunday.

And as such I would much rather every player in our squad know we must win than have half the team playing for a win and half the team trying to ensure we don't lose, because that's exactly how a well oiled machine stalls.

Imagine the scenario where Mahrez scores and we are +8 goals and being adored as champions elect. It's very difficult to not start believing the hype and then on Tuesday Liverpool win 4-0 at Southampton. All of a sudden the media will be ripping of the crown that was never there anyway and be saying it's back on! Anyone who's so much as watched an episode of Brookside will be giving interviews on how Gerrard is having his revenge.

Come Sunday it's not unfeasible to see Liverpool just go for it against Wolves and take an early lead before we get a lead against Villa, knowing they must win and score goals too.

If that happened then quite quickly I believe both our supporters and players would become nervous and at that point we are vulnerable to Villa stealing a goal and the days going pear-shaped whilst Liverpool who know they must win with goals regardless just crack on and score 4.

In short I think we are much better as a collective knowing we must win than as eleven varying minds knowing we must avoid defeat be it by drawing of winning. A clear mission is key and we now know it!

We must beat Villa at any cost!
