You win close title races by conserving mental energy as well as physical energy for the run in. Witness the dippers running on empty in 2014 after beating us in the “title decider” and falling away as we won 5 in a row to clinch it.

Going absolutely life and death to beat Bournemouth at home with player celebrations to rival Michael Thomas and co all those years ago takes a lot out of a team especially a young, increasingly nervous one.
There’s a long way to go yet, our players know that but I’m not sure Arsenal’s really understand what’s coming.

Seems to me we’re just getting into our stride and getting our serious heads on while Arsenal are beginning to fray at the seams. I think we might surprise everybody and win this title with 2 or 3 games to spare
Spot on, only possible fly in the ointment being if pep and kahldoon prioritise CL in April / May and we put out some dodgy teams for PL games. I suspect arteta will prioritise PL as long as they are top.

Felt like Ref was going to play until they scored but credit to Arteta for getting extra minutes and Arsenal just dont give up. Bournemouth gave them a game but scoring a second was probably their downfall because Arsenal stepped up a few gears after that.

That's exactly the way I see it at the moment

PGMOL have half done their job. See what happens tomorrow for the next part. Still won't let spoil the rest of the weekend has we have done our bit in getting the 3 points and applying the pressure.

On a positive note those who thought we might not finish in the top four or be in a tight battle to do so can relax a little and give some credit to a club that has finished top four 12 times in a row and really looking like making it 13.

Since 2009 we have been by far the best side in the premiership an incredible achievement in the most difficult league to do so in Europe.

We won't appreciate just how good we have been for more than a decade until we eventually miss out.

I used to be more than a glass half empty person when it comes to City but as you reach the home stretch of your time on Earth all too brief when you think about how long Earth has been around you appreciate the finer things all the more , good people , good food , good sex and following a great team through the good times and bad and boy anybody who has followed City has nothing to complain about on all fronts so enjoy it winning trophies or not because it passes you by much quicker than you would otherwise think.

I now look back and think how fortunate when it comes to City I have been and so should we all no matter our stage in life.
