Arsenal were always going to win today imo, they are miles better than Newcastle.
Newcastle just werent very good
Plus Arsenal struggle against lower down teams. Any team who tries to take them on get done. The except same thing happened to Arsenal at the Etihad. Tried to go toe to toe. On hindsight they should have stayed in their own half.

For me, Everton is the biggest game of the season.

I think the Chelsea game takes care of itself with us either buzzing on the back of making the CL final or fuming at being knocked out of the semi again.

Beat Everton and I think we go into the Brighton game with a minimum of a 4 point lead.

That said, the position we are in actually allows us to prioritise the Madrid game over Everton.
I don’t know about this. The biggest game is the one we finish and end up champions. Everton just happen to be next. Win at Everton and we can breathe a little easier. I don’t want us losing any game. We are better than every team in the league so…

We have the tougher schedule and harder games now.
If Arsenal overcome Brighton they will win all their remaining games and reach 90 points. We must beat Everton then we just need 5 points from 3 games to beat them on GD.
forrest away for them could be tricky,'not on paper' but they need points to stay up,its the same as our Everton game exactly the same

We’ve won our last 10 league games on the bounce. We now need to win 2 or 3 (at the most) out of 4. Arsenal at home to Brighton and away at forest are far from gimmees
As I’ve said numerous times (although I don’t expect you to know, remember or even read my posts, so no worries), I’d think we had it in the bag if NUFC had won today, because there’s no way we aren’t getting 1 win and a draw from 4 games!

But…there’s a reason we play games, because form and “winning on paper” don’t count!

We are in a fantastic position.

We are not guaranteed to win, but virtually all of us would have been happy to accept our position before the start of the season. We can win any game that we need to win.

If Arsenal win it from here, they will deserve it. But it's us who are the likely winners.

Yes agreed, but win our next 3 and the league is ours.

We can make it a 3 game season and ignore Brentford.
if we win our next two and arsenal drop antyhing to Brighton or Forrest we will be champions after the Chelsea game, not official champions because they could win the last game 17-0, where's the bloody calculator ;-)

Wasn’t long ago Arsenal fans and their media acolytes were crowing they would be 9 points ahead when they rocked up at the Etihad. We have done remarkably well to hunt them down

At times like this you do regret dropping silly points - basically in the aftermath of the disruptive World Cup. Brentford home loss, Everton home draw, Forest away draw. Spurs and Liverpool away losses not too surprising. Still it's in our hands now, we're still in the boss seat and have the squad and experience under pressure to remain champions (5 out of last 6 seasons!)

Was hoping for dropped points from Arsenal today because our last 4 are tough. Everton will be a real challenge after Real Madrid. Chelsea have enough quality to cause us a problem even if they've been inconsistent and Brighton and Brentford are both tough. 8pts needed from a possible 12 is a good margin though. We have often needed 10-12/12 to end our season and win the league. Would have been nice to have only needed 6pts to win it on goal difference but it's in our hands so have to be happy.

Team just needs to look at it as a monster week now. Two games away and one at home. Go win them all. Then last home game against Chelsea we have to carry the boys over the line and see them through.

Can't help but feel it will go down to the last game of the season, and I am not hugely confident for some reason!

I think it'll go to last game, hopefully in our own hands. Could really have done with Newcastle getting something from today, Arsenal will win their remaining games.

we need to make sure we dont arrive to last week with the need of winning both.

Brighton away and Brentford away are tricky as fuck. Brighton is a surprise team with De Zerbi and can hurt anyone.
while Brentford style is not a good match for us, only team to win at Etihad.
