I've been worried about the game on Weds. It is effectively a one-off and they can always go either way regardless of performance or home vs away.

After tonight's result even an Arsenal win doesn't guarantee them anything. We could still be within striking distance if they make a single mistake betweeen now and the end of the season.

I think from here there are two paths. Either they completely implode or they get some luck versus us and it takes them on a run to the end of the season which will mean in all likelihood it'll be a shootout in the last handful of games.

If we beat them they are very likely to drop more pts before the end of the season - which effectively allows us to mess up 3 games out of 7 and still win. That would require our worst end to a season probably in over a decade.

This Arsenal team always seemed like lightweights. Fair enough they have a young team and the majority of them haven't been involved in a title race before but it's really showing now. Far too emotional, you just need to look at their reaction to beating United at home in... January.

We've been here before, done it before against greater Liverpool teams. Obviously there is still a long way to go but it's looking increasingly like it'll be heading one way. Roll on Wednesday.

Look at the way their heads have dropped in the last 10 days...if we beat them Wednesday they're going to drop points to Brighton and Newcastle

It's properly getting to Arsenal now. They're realising title races are fucking long - so much longer than anybody imagines them to be - and it's freaking them out. They can absolutely still win the league, and they can beat us in midweek, but it seems like their players and the media, and even their fans, are just throwing in the towel. "Oh we're not good enough, oh we can't compete with City, oh Saliba is injured, oh this, oh that", etc. It's still in Arsenal's hands and City would do well to remember that.

Significantly, Arsenal now go into their toughest game of the season (against us) having dropped 6 points from 9 and without a win. If they fail to beat us, then they'll have gone 4 games without a win and having dropped at least 9 (if not 10) points from 12.

Earlier in the season, they were carried through tough periods by their momentum. That momentum is disappearing. If we beat them, they'll be going into a tough run of games with no belief.
