We have had a lot of injuries and suspensions and it's left the squad feeling very light. What's not helping that perception is the fact Alvarez and Haaland are both starting so our options from the bench have tended to be Grealish/Doku and Bobb. That's it. De Bruyne is a huge miss quite clearly, and Stones has been too. Villa we'll have to put out whatever we can, but I think we need to start playing 4 of Doku, Alvarez, Haaland, Bernie, Foden and not all 5 of them. Rodri has to have someone more disciplined next to him whether that's Kovacic, Nunes or Lewis.

I know mate, the last part was just a more general point moving forwards. God knows what the answer if for Villa! The three times we played without Rodri before it didn't work, so something different again I'd suggest. Grealish missing isn't such a bad thing in my opinion, takes some of the sting out of the game at least. They'll probably sing about Gareth Barry instead.

Yeees, but I actually agree with him that we did play well for long periods of both the Liverpool and Tottenham games. We restricted two of the best attacking teams in the league to almost no chances. That's a plain, simple fact. It is admittedly worrying that from those very, very few chances (Liverpool had literally none in the second half other than the goal, same for Arsenal) everybody is scoring against us.

Even with the loss of some great players and injuries to others including he worlds best player we are still there only shit finishing and shit defending at times has failed us.
I still think we are the best team in the league but I don't think it‘s a given we will just turn it on sail away this year especially with our reliance on Rodri.
