We are winning it trust me.
I'm normally pessimistic but I got
a feeling after the Luton win.
I know what then after happened v Palace
but I think getting this world club tournement out of the way,we're gonna see a different City from here on in.
To achieve four in a row really would be something, and I think we will.
I'm that giddy answering my own posts !

Its on boys and girls

The players wanted that club world cup out of the way ,which we did by winning. ;-)

Just get behind this team, this club

Up the Fucking Blues

Agreed mate that was huge last night. Relatively easy January so let's hope we've got everyone fully fit from February till the seasons end. CTWD.

Honestly, looking at our fixtures list, I am struggling to think how we can get on a big winning run. We have Newcastle away in 2 weeks where they usually turn up against big trams. Then we have Pool, Arsenal and Brighton consecutively in March I believe, 2 of those away. I am not very convinced we can go on a run yet.

On a more positive note, best all them and we'll be top of the league and they'll be shitting it. Come on you blues!

We don't need to go on "a run" to win the league, we just need to beat Arsenal at home, avoid defeat at Liverpool, and match the pair of them give or take until late March/early April and then let's see where we are and who has got the biggest balls. We might not necessarily even need to do that. I think previous seasons + our honestly terrible recent form has given us an expectation that we need to win 10 in a row to win it.

I'm still quite pessimistic about our chances this year. I just think 4 in a row is such a difficult thing to do mentally and our injuries have been terrible so far. But last night was a statement victory.

We are definitely in with a shout despite our stuttering form!

I think the league is quite weak at the top this year, even more than last year.

Any team from City 2017-2021 or Liverpool 2018-2021 would win this league quite comfortably IMO.

Everyone is burned out, in transition, or just not title winning good (Arsenal, Spurs).

Newcastle have looked really poor recently. Their last really convincing performance was when they beat the rags nearly a month ago - going out of Europe seems to have negatively affected them.
Before they meet us, they go to Anfield on New Year's Day and then have the intensity of an FA Cup derby away at Sunderland. I agree they could well turn up against us but by the time we go there, they will hopefully be desperate for their winter break!

In that case, Pep should pick Metrolink.

If we win 4 from every 5 games, we'll be on 85 pts. If we draw two and lose two from the other 4 games, we'll win 87 pts. That will probably be enough to win the title. No winning run is needed, unless Arsenal or Liverpool go on a run themselves.

I think that even 84 pts may win the title this season.
