Position isn’t important right now. The points are all that matters and anyone giving up on a one point deficit with 30 to play for are cowardly as fuck.

Feels like we've been poor against the other sides around the top of the table/Chelsea and the Rags this season but had a look and everyone has had mixed results.

Based on the table/remaining games:

Spurs, Villa, Arsenal 12pts
City, Dippers, Rags 11pts
Chelsea 7pts

Arsenal have picked up 10pts from 4 home games but 2pts from 3 away games and still have 2 home and 2 away against those sides.
Liverpool have picked up 9pts from 5 home games (despite Anfield) and 2pts from 4 away games and have 1 home and 2 away against those sides.
We've picked up 6pts from 4 home games and 5pts from 5 away games and have 2 home and 1 away against those sides.

So far we've only beaten the rags (home and away) out of all of those sides!!! TIme to dial it up a notch and get a few more wins.

I think at this point denting their confidence before our match would be more beneficial than them playing an extra 2 games.

Nah, they are a more robust team this season, with a better squad, so it should be too early for them to bottle it ?
More games are usually draining, with both City & LFC having the FA Cup to contend with.
Do you think City could beat the Arse over two legs ?

Indeed. A tie between us and Arsenal in the CL will help Liverpool big time. A Porto win wouldn't be a bad thing.
