A lot of City fans are mentally scarred by Spurs as a result of the amount of defeats in really big games down the years. For older types, it goes all the way back to the 1981 FA Cup final and then the QF in 1993. Then more recently, the game that decided CL qualification in 2010 (would have been first time ever for either club) and the CL QF in 2019. Added to all that is our terrible record at the new stadium prior to this season’s FA Cup tie.
I totally agree that we should win comfortably there but old habits die hard!
I'm neither scarred nor scared.

We have been robbed by some of the worst refereeing decisions in modern times against spuds.

Two missed penalties at key times in games also didn't help.

Fear no one !!

If they don't win the title most tarquins will be screaming for his head.

I really don't think so. On the contrary, they think he's done a very good job to have them challenging City seriously. Big difference from the final years of Wenger. And indeed Arteta's first season. And they are a youngish team, who should be as good next year.

Ah but we're not just casually pocketing another treble, you know. And that's failure

It's weird but we are now held to standards that we ourselves have created. Haaland going to win the Golden Boot hands down, but it's been a “poor” season, because he didn't score north of fifty! What the actual fuck?
Yeah, it's funny because in some ways I don't think we've quite been at our best, but as you say our best is some of the best football that has ever been played on a pitch in England for the history of the sport.

But people don't fully appreciate Pep's levels, how's he has negotiated an injury plagued team, gone off and won a super and world cup amidst an already jammed schedule etc etc

People thinking that Spurs may be at something less than 100% against us next week; can't the same be said about Trafford's finest next weekend? They'll hardly want to be giving us any help to win another title, are they?

No way. He's improved the team massively so we can compete hopefully to the last day. And the ceiling of Arsenal is very high given the youth of our key players, the fact that there's a once in a generation wonderkid coming through who may break into the team next season, and that with a ninja striker up front we'd be more clinical.

Doesn't mean we overtake City as you'll improve as well, but we are going blow for blow with the best team in the world and the best coach in the world.

We'll be more experienced in the CL next year as well. If Arteta left who else would we be able to get in that's better? It's not like Pep would take the job. The other supermanagers are Klopp and Ancelotti. After those guys Arteta is on par with who is left and he's still early 40s and learning fast.

Like I've said before, we'll be competing with City for prizes for the next 4 or 5 years. Doesn't mean we'll win them of course, but on the flip side at least you'll not need to worry about your team bus getting smashed up by your title rivals before a crunch match. Every cloud.
