It looks like Pep has settled on his preferred team shape in and out of possession

in possession it’s a 2 3 4 1

Dias Ake

bernardo rodri kovacic

Walker Foden Bobb Gvardiol

Alvarez

Kevin and Grealish would also be perfect in the Foden and Bobb slots , as would Alvarez

Haaland coming back will transform this team as we have lacked a true cutting edge

out of possession it’s a 4 4 2

Walker Dias Ake Gvardiol

bernardo rodri kovacic Bobb

Foden Alvarez

we have been solid in the last two tricky aways but sometimes a bit susceptible to the counter attack as there is space in the channels due-to the full backs playing so high and needing time to get back

it seems we have dispensed with the Stones role stepping into midfield ,probably due to his lack of fitness this season

is this the start of our winning run to the title ?
Rip up the tactics board, that will evolve beyond recognition come the back end; his permutations are dictated by availability, which can be dangerous for Pep at times, however, he’s learned a lesson or two on that score and for me, we’ll grind teams down from here on in; our impact riches are nigh on impossible to contain…

Anyone say treble? (:

We wont as we play brentford on the monday in the next run of fixtures, just saying.

Dont know when we will make up the fixture that we are behind in.
Tuesday 20/02/24 Brentford at Home.

We then play Bournemouth the following weekend whilst Dippers are causing mayhem at the League Cup Final.
Klopps last potentially and every Dip and his Dog will be there, we know how it normally ends!

Dips next 2 are Chelsea H and Arse A!

surely Liverpool wont do 6 points from Chelsea home and Arsenal away this week...

we really need the Londoners not to lie down to them. two draws would be great.
Zinchenko, Jesus, Arteta and Sterling/Palmer has to deliver for City.

while we need to beat Burnley at home and then Brentford away Monday evening can be tricky but we should manage it.

would be great if we could go top the table after these two rounds with a game in hand. for that we need too win both and Pool only get a draw and a loss or two losses.

It pains me but the two or three times I have watched Lpool recently I have been impressed. particularly with the speed of transition. I think it will be pretty close between us and who wins will be down to injuries and the extra that Pep gives us. We will need to be at our very best though.

Shaping up to be a cracking title race this year.

It's going to be very close between Liverpool, Arsenal and ourselves.

Bring it on.

A bit of a win win. We lift the trophy, the first to win four on a row. We miss out, the motivation is there to win the next 3.

I could see them winning both quite comfortably, it really is between us and them for the title

The only games I can see Liverpool struggling in between now and the end of the season are at home to us, and you may laugh but rags away

Not sure why you’d think that on the evidence of the season so far. I don’t think they have played well in most games. Results have been there but they haven’t been impressive by any stretch.

We win this league, I’m absolutely sure of it.

They’ll struggle in games we don’t expect, just like every season teams drop points when least expected. Predicting which games is a fools game.

I'm torn between wanting Arsenal to lose to benefit us and wanting Arsenal to win to keep pace with the dippers.

Right now i'd rip your hand off for City to win CL and finish 2nd to Arsenal in PL. The media wankfest if Klopp won the league in his last season would be intolerable and would last for many years and despite all evidence to the contrary they'd rank his achievements alongside Pep's.

It always looks that way on paper. It is natural to pencil in the bigger club to beat the smaller one.

I seem to recall down the stretch in the title run two years ago Liverpool had a draw we didn't expect..I can't remember who it was against...maybe Bournemouth?

They have only list one match and that was when they had 2 men sent off and conceded right at the end.
They just seem to keep getting the points

That’s why I said they’ve got the points but not been very impressive.
There have been several games where they have had late late wins/draws undeservedly.
I’ll stick to having faith in what City are going to do rather than fawn over those cunts.
