4 in a row is an incredible feat but just one step too far with the team for 5. Got show some pride next week.

Last season we just got over the line and it has burnt the squad they look knackered!

We have had a great run, but this last 5 games is an accumulation of poor squad planning and recruitment over the last few years and over sentimentality over legend players by keeping them longer than they should have.

Vinny had it right years ago, go out on a high. Leave the game before the game leaves you. Some players should take note.

isnt that a management thing though, im sure i'd hang around as long as i could while on 200k a week, players decline when they hit a certain age although its not a science at what that age is, but good management is not only about winning things its about replacing players at the right time

This is the new norm for City this season now. We need to get used to being happy at challenging for top 4 place. We don’t have a squad good enough for title. Try and get an FA Cup run to Wembley.

Yea why not. We’ve just won the last four and it’s only a few games won or lost and we’re back above Liverpool. Why are you giving up so easily?

We’ve won league titles further behind than this and that’s in march not bloody November

Well it has certainly been an enjoyable decade. All good things must come to an end.

Football is cyclical and this cycle is coming to an end. A combination of bad planning, injuries and other sides getting better and frankly working us out. We are lucky to be on 23 points for me. Our performances on the whole have been poor.

We’ve had average transfer windows (being kind) since the treble…. Even towards the end of that Treble season I felt we were labouring at times. And that’ feeling stayed thru last season. And we are where we are now.

Several players should have been moved on/not bought in over the last 3 or 4 transfer windows. We are paying for those decisions now….
