They might be - shit' mate ( they are not as they keep scoring for fun) but they are miles ahead of us atm. Did you see the car crash that purported to be a match v SPUDS last night? CITY out Spurred Spursy....it was embarrassing.
Yeah I saw it but it was a game that was even on XG, if Haaland sticks away any of the 3 presentable chances he had before Spuds scored it's a different game. Form is temporary, class is permanent.

Arne Slot current win ratio at Liverpool is almost 89%, whereas in his previous roles it was 55-65%. If he keeps that up hats off to him, but I think there will be some tough times ahead.
They are able to play Salah (aged 32) and Van Dijk (aged 33) every single game. They are clearly their two best players. If they can do that until the end of the season then they will win it.

Thank you for your words of encouragement, false hope though ATM..

I'm about to put our Christmas tree and decs up to brighten a miserable City footy weekend, so let me be the first to wish you Seasons Greetings

Ps fancy selling Saka and Odegaard....??

I reckon if we don't get a trophy this season Odegaard may wish to move. Saka probably not as he's a boyhood Arsenal fan. It seems almost certain Saliba is off in the summer as well as Real Madrid have done their usual destabilisation behind the scenes - again all sorted by actually winning a trophy!

Haaland has always messed with Pep's head. I am convinced it wasn't 'his buy' just a great commercial opportunity. For the last five years we have sat somewhere around 13 - 14th in nt spend league (as in 13 teams net spend has been greater) = 8th - 9th in the league after a while. I am amazed we won it last year, We are playing an ageing returnee on a free transfer and a young trier from the academy in CM = lose most games - just not possible to win ANY prem league games if you don't control midfield - could be a cricket score v 'da pool next week

Do you think a domestic cup will do it? Or does it have to be one of the big two?

Even if Haaland scores hattricks every week we can still easily concede 4, I'm afraid our defensive issues won't be solved until Rodri returns or we buy a DM and he is instantly a success, Pep has been too stubborn to change his usual tactics which have become suicidal without Rodri, we need to drop deeper and play more on the counter to protect the defence but Pep isn't doing it despite having serious pace upfront.

The Carabao won't do it. FA Cup is marginal. I think if we finished 2nd in the league but behind Liverpool that would be treated as a crisis. 2nd behind City is more respectable. As would be signing a marquee striker etc.

Still think in Nov we are too early. Liverpool's performance today in winning was similar to when City and Arsenal were winning games earlier in the season when you could tell it wasn't all kosher behind the scenes. Eventually you do that against a Bournemouth or a Spurs and you get your pants pulled down and same will happen to them unless they can bring their performances up. They do have an ability to score from all over the pitch though
