Not totally given up but very unlikely unless results improve pronto, less games to claw it back as each week goes by as well.There haven't been any outstanding teams out of the current title contenders. Whilst we look unlikely in our current state but we could easily get back in if we get a few more players back and get back into the winning habit.

Our biggest problem is not that we are 9-11 pts off the top, but that we have injuries to key stars and rely on aging and injury prone players, plus suffering from fatigue after 4 great seasons.
Also, the comeback we had in 2012 is something that happens once in 50 years, namely reducing a gap of 8 pts in the last 5 games. Such things don't make another late comeback likely in the slightest.

And we're only a third of the way through. With having small squad and with so many injury prone players we're bound to pick up more injuries along the way to key players. Don't forget we have the FA cup coming soon and the pressure of us qualifying for champs league with additional play off games. And that doesn't even counter in our inability to not give stupid goals away. It just doesn't look good, certainly for any title challenge and maybe even top 4 place.We have been at that stage too with the injuries. Not much difference to other recent title wins to be fair. We had plenty of brain dead moments too but still managed to find a way back in. I am sure the current top four teams will still be the top four in may. In which order I've no idea. All four teams will drop plenty of points before the season ends. Hopefully we've already dropped ours
