from next 6 PL games 4 of them away to Newcastle, Wolves, Bournemouth, Brighton. real fucking test imo. very easy to drop points in these type of games if we are not 100% at it and if we keep conceding with opponents first attempt every time.

we surely need KDB, Foden, Gundo to start firing in this period, Haaland alone wont be able to do it and some help from wingers too is needed.

Another thing worth pointing out, Arsenal still havent bettered a result from last season and infact are down on where they were last season.

We haven't down worse than any result last season and have infact bettered a result.
Did they not drop points away to Villa last year?

Rodri's injury shows things can change quickly. Plus, Walker, KDB and Gundo are 33+ now. Pep relies on the experienced players in big games, but this may need to change.

Let's hope the injury is not as bad as many fear. The result yesterday was far less important than the state of Rodri's knee. For with Rodri in the team we can win the title even if we are 5-6 pts off the top with 10 games to go.

(Caveated by a potentially serious Rodri injury).

I've never been more convinced that we're at least going to finish above Arsenal. Whether it's enough to finish above Slot's Liverpool is another matter. But all Arsenal do is complain and complain and complain. It's like they prefer feeling aggrieved over just getting the fucking job done. We lost our best player on 17 mins yesterday and had to put up with their "dark arts" while trailing 2-1. Our lads got their heads down and plugged away until we got the goal we needed, Arsenal just rolled around and wasted time. And they've done nothing but cry and moan and whine ever since full-time. They have such a defeatist mentality it's unreal. We potentially lose Rodri for the season and we know our lads will try their hardest to fill the gap while he's not there; Arsenal lose Odegaard for a few weeks and get a couple of red cards and it's immediately panic stations, "How can we compete?", corrupt FA, Arteta's veins exploding etc. There's a major gap in mentality. Rodri was right to call it out.

If we don't win the league and Liverpool do instead that be the death nail for Arteta because there fans believe they only have to get past us to win the league

If we are indeed without Rodri for the season.. once we get Newcastle away out of the way next week.. we don't really have a hard game till late november and in december we get a ton of hard teams.

So we'll have 2 months to figure things out and get a system going.

Still a major blow but if anyone can find solutions.. it's Pep!

cannot see how this Rodri thing doesnt mean we end up on less points than with him. at least imo 5 points which already can be too much.
will be a brutal hard title race now and close too. we need both Arse and dippers drop unexpected points, and have Spurs, rags, Chelsea Villa, Barcodes have a real go at them.
Arsenal going to big away games and scoring corners and not losing is something cannot continue. quite bad they didnt lose any of Spurs, Atalanta, City games despite being on the backfoot in all three.

up to Pep to make it work, not much help he got from transfer window, but this is only on us, net spend trophy is there, still find it crap as if Barca doesnt surprise Gundo with dropping him like that he would even think of returnng and then I dont know if we even sign anyone for midfield.

will be livid if this Slot guy turns up and delivers 85p+ in his first season after something supposed to be bit of hangover from Klopps time and transition period and all that.
(also their transfer window was shit)

Arse is more dangerous, they got closer 2 times, their hunger is growing but maybe not the mentality but very hard to beat them, hence we didnt beat them in last 4 meetings. would it surprise me for them to reach 87-88? not really if they avoid big injuries to Rice, Saka and their CB duo. its sick that these guys can start 37-38 games a PL season with some more cup and CL games and never injured. and Merino yet to be adding some extra depth etc.

we have all the experience, but squad imo needed bit of extra energy, bit of shake up, some better options for Rodri and Haaland particularly and last thing we needed is this Rodri injury long term.

dropping points in lesser games now we really need to keep to a minimum. like home and away to Everton, Forest, all promoted clubs, Wolves etc.
