How many points to win the league?

Looking at the table this morning I quite like the fact that Brighton, Forest and Fulham are up there, I doubt any of them will finish top 4 but it's getting more competitive and it really is true that on a given day any team can beat any other team.
Except we can’t beat Spurs ;)

One at a time. 23 more to go.
We looked better, whilst still conceding a lot of really good chances. It couldn't get any worse but it was certainly a positive and something to build from, Liverpool dropping points being the added bonus. Roll on tomorrow

I saw Bobb sitting behind the bench at the game the other day.

Did anyone who attended notice if he was still wearing a boot on his foot?

The worst part is that I don't even think this Liverpool team is anything special. They're good, no doubt but not looking formidable.

We had an awful spell after leading the league. Arsenal weren't as consistent as early in the past couple of seasons.

The dippers will drop their fair share of points. It might not be us that catches them this year but I don't reckon they'll have a clear run to the title, despite a decent lead right now.
It’s all about Mo salah because when he plays well Liverpool tend to win and I cannot believe they haven’t tied not given him a contract . Hate to say it but he is class and can you imagine what he could do for us .

Liverpool are good but I think they will drop enough points to be caught. I think this season might be one where the title is won on a lower points score.

Chelsea are looking like ones to watch. They've got some great players, a big squad and little European football to distract them.

I think the thing to ponder is whether we can see those teams maintaining their form throughout the season. We obviously know they'll drop points, but to what extent? Quite difficult at the moment is what I'd say. If we can put our recent woes behind is and get back amongst the leading pack, then all is not lost. A tough ask for us though, no doubt, especially with these recurring injuries to players.

Let’s offer him £400k per week he lives in Wilmlsow so he wouldn’t have to move
The dippers would have to match that to keep him it would cause massive unrest
Get the contracts drawn up string him along then at the last minute - no thanks
Job done disgruntled player and rival club

Yep, people talking about others dropping points which will be inevitable, but that is then relying on us being pretty much perfect for the rest of the season. It only takes one more weekend results to swing our way to at least put the pressure on.

I think Chelsea have a chance. There is no pressure on them

It's less than a week since every media outlet seemed to be sharing graphics about the biggest ever leads, and how likely Liverpool were to win the league.

By the end of the weekend, there's a good chance that lead will be down to 4pts, and they'll have a tough match to squeeze in at Goodison - a ground where they've only won once since 2016.

At least one of City, Arsenal or Chelsea is likely to have a good run of games, and it wouldn't surprise me if that lead disappears before the CL knockout stages start.

Think you all need to realise this form is in for the season. We’re in a top 8 battle, you can say bye to your Wirtz etc back to plan C signings, which is what’s got us here in the first place.
