Agreed. Although I don’t really care who wins it. If push comes to shove I’d rather see Chelsea win it even though I don’t think it’s their time just yet. Liverpool are currently the best side in the league and I can’t see anyone beating them. The Gooners must be well pissed off because as soon as we fall away along comes a much improved Liverpool side to compete with.

The only thing we can take from things if Liverpool do end up with it is that it makes Klopp look a bit shite. Slot coming in to an inherited squad and doing it in his first season doesn't look good for the heavy metal football purveyor. Still not looking forward to it if this is the way it pans out though.

Agreed. It’ll be a crumb of comfort but not much more than that.

I can only hope that we have another global pandemic or Putin and Trump fire some nukes before the end of the season.

I like that logic, plus Slot (for the moment) seems quite a decent bloke.
In contrast I've recently formed a deep hatred for Arteta's time wasting Arsenal and all those ATV gobshites
Fat Robby's too old to be wearing football shirts but Jaap Stam's lovechild is the real pricks prick.

Amazing what a difference a particular manager can make to people’s disposition towards a club. Myself included. Can’t help but like Slot. And them winning doesn’t seem half as bad with him in charge.

I think the fact we’re out of it before the turn of the year would probably make it less intense too. More time to get used to the idea by bargaining to myself!

Losing to them in 2019 or 2022 would have been unbearable. And we’d never have heard the last about it.

Both those teams were truly immense.

We need to find that again.

Nah not really we’ve fucked it this season
Tarquins will tailspin the others apart from Chelsea will be the usual win2 lose one
If Chelsea start to lose a bit of form the title will be done in February.
Can see the dippers 15 plus points ahead of second by then and nobody will give a fuck
Season will Peter out into a race for top 4

Or we fucking sort ourselves out and start picking up wins again and at least have a push for top 3.

Rags will be bottom 3 by then

These people softening on the Scousers need to have a fucking word with themselves.

Same old thieving murdering rat munchers they have always been. Slot might seem alright but so did Klopp when he first went there. The scouse rabies soon takes hold though and before you know it Slot will be just as foaming at the mouth and hysterical as those who went before him.
 
I am telling you Slot had a harder job last season coming in 2nd with Feyenoord in mediocre Eredivisie.

he cannot believe that both Arse and us have problems this season while they are flying without any transfer activity.

in a debut season he is so far looking brutal strong with overperforming players in defence, midfield and upfront too. I guess they will cause problems whoever they face in Fa cup and CL later on. strangest is their fitness, running hard all game, high tempo, pressing high up, and their schedule isnt any lesser than ours, in fact more games due to Carabao for them. compared to our very slow style, slow build up, lot less counters, lot less pressing, difference is sick in fitness levels.

strange we never run away with titles like this apart from maybe 2017-2018. when we lose the title we arent even in it (2020, 2015, 2016,2017) for whatever reason.
 
It is essential we beat Liverpool in the home game. It is important we stay in the Champions League. It is important we finish in the top four. The title is obviously long gone.

I held out the faintest of hopes before the derby based on absolutely nothing other than wanting us to win it, certainly not form. Start again next season.

I'm not softening in any way shape or form but if you want me to choose between the dippers and tarquins if not Chelsea then it's the Scousers all day for me.
I don't want lego head anywhere near the title
 
I don't mind anyone winning it bar United or Liverpool. The reason for that is purely the entitlement of both sets fans, and in Liverpool's case, a bizarre, cult-like sense of ethereal presence atop the morality of the game, backed my a media fearful of backlash. I grew up with the United banner. I have never seen something like that in any other club, and it was authorised by the club. My bitterness towards them stems from that more than anything else.
