The Torch Wembley

We toured the east side pubs Saturday night to find somewhere suitable. End result we got a tube Sunday into London after a swift one in the sports bar. Everyone of the east side pubs is shocking and as said any fans who get the east side get the short straw.
Was in the sports bar on Saturday and was decent and showed the boxing yet on Sunday they turned all the beers off and only served carlsberg at a fiver a go.
 
I can't stand Wembley, an absolute fucking dump.

A billion quid spent on the stadium and they can't even make the area pleasant for visiting fans. Surely they could have bought a bit of the land around the stadium and made a couple of City Square type places for fans to get a decent pint and a bit of grub, and have a piss, instead of schlepping round and round the place trying to get into packed, expensive shitholes. I'm sure the residents would be happier as well.

Still, I suppose the fans are an inconvenience when they're not handing their money over.

Yeah I was still there for that! that seemed to be the moment when everyone tried walking in when that guy got chased by the police so we got lucky! It was a good atmosphere inside too!
 
Our coach parked there and we just stayed in the car park drinking our own beer because it was RAMMED in there and they were running out of beer.
 
From the outside, it looks like it's been torched! Absolute shithole.
West side next year please.

We had a couple in there like you say beer not to pricy and easy to get served wish we had stayed in longer instead of going to Wembley for a drink, ended up in the car park of think it was the crock of gold it was fucking freezing
 
We tried the torch but they wouldn't let anyone in, then walked down the hill past the station to Watkins folly they wanted a fiver entrance fee each! Went across the road to a little sports bar and it was decent, straight to the bar, quick service, had Arsenal on the tele and a decent jukebox on! Defo the only plus on a shite side of Wembley!
 
Cans are always the best bet at wembley, everything else is too expensive. They could really do with those public urinals so people aren't pissing up the walls all over the show!

There's a great spot on the west side near The Greyhound which we've used loads of times when "canning it" on the streets. Grass verge with public toilets into the bargain and plenty of off licenses nearby.

Maybe it's blue tinted specs but when we got the east side this time I thought it would be bang on as we had a great time outside The Torch in 1999 prior to the play-off final but to be honest it wasn't that great this time and the west side is miles better
