JJ Jetset was the person who said Hazard was nailed on for Spurs, and last night claimed Spurs were interested in Isco minutes after it was mentioned on Sky Sports.

He's the Spurs version of VVK.

If by coincidence he is right about Leandro then expect to see Adebayor's form and attitude to deteriorate.

Gomes is a better keeper.

Gomes seems to strike up a huge debate among fans, especially Spurs fans.

I used to love Gomes, when he's on song he's great, especially in the first 4th place finish season.

Unfortunately he has many mistakes in him. He doesn't know whether to come for a cross half the time. For every world class save there is a clanger in the works. Gomes for me is a bit of a fanny, needs an arm around him and a pat on the back, his confidence is shot after a huge mistake, he just doesn't have the bottle to turn things around. If you can't take the pressure in your early thirties then in my opinion you aren't going to change much. I think he was at his comfort zone in holland

City, United and Chelsea will make up the top 3 (although not necessarily in that order). 4th place is likely to be Arsenal, but Spurs could push them. The issues Spurs have is the issue City had a few seasons ago, with a huge amount of squad turnover it takes time to gel, and you don't get that time in the Premiership AND still win things.

You can't randomly pick 3 players who have been linked to your club in your starting 11 and claim it's a title winning side. Leandro, Willian and Moutinho are, highly likely, not to join Spurs. It's almost a nailed on certainty you won't get all of them, and the safe money would be on you getting none of them. Spurs play in the most competitive league on the planet, they aren't a current Champion's League side and have only qualified for it once anyway. Spurs won't pay top whack on wages (hence the Adebayor saga lasting so long) so that won't help in attracting the best players. So, no Champion's League football, no league titles for decades, no guarantee of future champions league qualification, inability to pay the top rate for wages. Explain to me again why you think top players are falling all over themselves to join Spurs?

It's possible but it's certainly not the most likely outcome. Arsenal haven't failed to qualify for the Champion's League for something like 14 or 15 years, and Chelsea are an altogether more superior side than Spurs, they will be a real threat this season. Given the Champion's League is really a long shot for Spurs they can't use it to attract signings.

It's possible but it's certainly not the most likely outcome. Agreed. They really should have seized the opportunity when they beat us out to the Champions League and strengthened their squad instead of waiting a year to use the CL money. They would be much better off following the Udinese/Napoli model than the Arsenal model of transfer dealings, i.e. sell high and sell early to bring in as much talent as possible instead of dragging it out for a few extra pounds with no time to truly strengthen.

If you can't take the pressure in your early thirties then in my opinion you aren't going to change much. I think he was at his comfort zone in holland

But the problem with Friedel is he doesn't make mistakes because he doesn't fucking do anything. Can't remember the last time he actually saved something, he pretty much just stands there and when the ball comes at him he reacts slowly and jumps but it's already passed his hand.

Even watching United play Everton the other day was striking because De Gea made at least 4 or 5 top quality saves that Friedel would probably not have made. We desperately need a better keeper but if we don't get one Gomes should be back in the side imo.
