Beat Arsenal and you are in business. Not sure who I want to win. Probably a draw is the best result for City.

Hard to know what result would suit City. Probably the draw as you say, or maybe an Arsenal win as I can see Spurs picking up points later in the season when their new squad begins to get itself together.

Imagine 5 games to go and spurs City Chelsea arsenal Liverpool and the scum all can win the league only 3 of those teams recently know how to WIN it that's the difference...

Yes and that what the Rags were saying about themselves in 2011-12 and we all know what happened then. THFC will be top 3 at least this season

Who's going to be fourth? if they had got Coentrao, Willian and a decent centre back then I could have seen them challenging for the league but I know nothing of their new centre half and they missed out on Will I An and Coentrao.

If I had to say now then I predict the Rags to come 4th. We were after Vertonghen who gives them the have an ideal combination of the technically gifted JV and the rugged English-type of CB Dawson who'll clear any danger that comes near him. All I am saying is don't discount them being up there at the end of the season. Wish we'd got Paulinho too.

Not a great deal wrong with that first half performance.

Spurs totally in control, as you would expect, and two good finished from Defoe with assists from Holtby & Sigurdsson.

Has Lloris actually touched the ball yet?

Is Lloris not on the bench??

Well that one went over your heads!

8-0.

Good run-out for the lads.

Nice goal from Holtby.

4 games played.

10 goals scored.

4 clean sheets.

Roll-on Sunday!

Would just fuck*ng love it if Arsenal beat you - the fact they have injury problems and Wenger has taken so much stick for not buying players would make it so sweet for them to win against a Spurs side that are chucking money at players all over the place.

C'mon you gooners!

Jermain Defoe's two goals for Spurs tonight against Dinamo Tbilisi puts him on 135 for the club.

I can't make sense of that, need it in a graph format.

There's a very nice one on my web site, but I'm not allowed to place a link to it.

Can Lamela play this weekend ?

I think there's time for all three of our new signings to be registered for the NLD - Erik Lamela, Vlad Chiriches and Christian Eriksen, although I very much doubt if all three will start.

BTW, it's now five consecutive competitive clean sheets in a row for Tottenham.

And 537 minutes since Tottenham last conceded a goal - Stoke City's Steven Nzonzi scoring in the 3rd minute of our penultimate league game last season.

Are you sure you're not a gooner? You seem to love them more than the hammers. It's a tough choice between the long ball game and passing it around the ground

-- Fri Aug 30, 2013 12:59 am --

Great record that but I think arseholes will score a goal or two. The nld is always packed with goals. Surely it must be the biggest goalscoring derby since the premier started?

This whole thread needs a 'refresh'. Start again as Spurs Part 3 and knock off all the abuse (from both sides) as it has descended into chaos.

Agree. Whenever I come into this thread to talk about Spurs it's instead pages and pages about what THFC said/didn't say, intended to say, said but didn't intend to mean, intended to mean but didn't say explicitly, etc, etc. It's crazy that we're already like 165 pages into the Spurs thread Part 2, and there's only been 2 games played so far this season lol.
