Hopefully this shit club falls out of top 6, fucking hate SPuds. At least Liverpool and Arsenal can act all mighty because they have achieved something, but fucking Spurs? They act like they are the biggest club not only in London but in all of England, bunch of deluded fuckers.

Fuck off with Lamela shit, you are not getting him, why would he go to Spurs

Britain, surely?

Spurs were the first British club to win a Major European Trophy.

And the first British club to win two Major European Trophies.

Just to point out that Red Star Belgrade won a European trophy a better one than even you managed. Are they a bigger club than you because of that?

I still think we can challenge for 2nd/3rd without Bale as If you look at the spine of our side when compared to City for example, I personally believe we have the edge.

Lloris or Hart = Lloris

Vertonghen or Kompany = Vertonghen

Paulinho or Yaya Toure = Draw

Lamela or David Silva = Draw

Soldado or Aguero = Draw

Paulinho's as good as Yaya, Vertonghan's better than Kompany, Soldado's as good as Aguero? Lol. Just lol.

Joe lewis gave spurs a 50m interest free loan so we wouldn't get pipped for fourth again. Paulinho, Soldado and Chadli were bought in for 50m pretty much straight off the bat.

Spurs have made it clear they want a bale replacement as well as strengthening other areas. Hence the willian bid and lamela interest. Some posters mentioned erikesen too

This Madrid stuff has dragged on a long time, it didn't help Madrid bidding only a few days ago leaving it late. I'm sure bale will be sold soon but I have no idea of the fee. 75-86m?

You do know how loans work don't you ?

As in they have to be paid back when you have the money

You sell bale you have the money

And as that meerkat would say SIMPLES

Livermore is better than the whole city squad
I knew I liked you for a reason. :)

There is no doubt whatsoever that City have the better spine to their side than Spuds. And better than any other premiership team. It is settled and it is quality. People have for some reason written us off this season and indeed after the loss to Cardiff. But that would be foolish. Spuds are a good side no doubt and with more investment will improve but Bale will leave, Willian rejected the move because of Chelsea's interest and they cannot offer Champions League football. Spurs are the 4th best team in England.

Fucking lol. Don't know where to start, how about we compare Aguero/Soldado debuts?

Soldado - played 90 mins against newly promoted side, did fuck all, scored a pen that shouldn't have been.

Aguero - brief cameo against newly promoted side, scored 2 (one SCREAMER), made another.

That's pretty special in terms of delusion.

Hart is in a poor run of form, but I'd still say he's a better keeper than Lloris, albeit not be a huge margin.

Kompany is one of the best centre halve sin World football, that's just simply a fact. I can't think of another centre half I'd happily swap him for. He's better than Vertonghen, it's just that simple.

I'm not even going to comment on the fact you seem to believe Paulinho is of equal ability to Yaya Toure, the mere fact it's a statement you've even made is laughable. Paulinho might well be a decent signing, but he's not Yaya Toure.

Firstly Silva is better than Lamela. Secondly Lamela is a Roma player.

The Soldado v Aguero assessment is as laughable as the Paulinho/Yaya one. Soldado is 28 and has scored 198 club goals, however 63 of them were not in the top division. Aguero is 3 years younger, has scored 172 club goals, all of which were at top division level. So, Soldado is 3 years older than Aguero, and has scored 37 less top flight goals. Lets assume Aguero scores 18 goals in each of the next 3 seasons (not an unrealistic tally given previous goalscoring rates), that's another 54 goals, so approx 226 goals in the top flight compared to 135 goals in the top flight, a 91 goals deficit. So, yeah, the same then.........

Well then we'll finish fourth, so you should bet your house on it.

I think we'll do a bit better than that.

Who knows, perhaps we'll even do a lot better than that.

Oh... and this offering Champions League Football is a bit of a red herring.

Berbatov, Modric, Van der Vaart, Vertonghen, Lloris, Soldado, Paulinho, Capoue and others all came to Spurs without the promise of Champions League Football.

I think once we beat Arsenal on Sunday.

People will take us seriously as title contenders.

Did you not beat Arsenal last season? No one took you as contenders then. Will be no different now, especially after three games. The first two you have yet to score from open play IIRC

Chiriches: "I felt like crying when Steaua rejected the first offer from #THFC. For two days I couldn't think of anything else."

As for the Vertonghen and Kompany comparisons: Jan was voted into the PFA Team of the year in his debut PL season.

Paulinho also won the Bronze Ball in the confederations cup ahead of some world class midfielders.

Soldado will score more than Aguero this season and Lamela's productivity and creativity is a level above of David Silva's in my opinion.

not one of your players you mention are better than ours in my opinion
some may be of equal but not better

your soldado aguero comparison is frankly embarrasing

Spurs beat Arsenal, Manchester United and Manchester City last season.

Generally, we gave as good as we got against the other top clubs.

And if we do manage to beat Arsenal again on Sunday, Spurs will be seven points better-off than the same stage last season.

And the first 3 left after realising CL football was a distance dream

Maybe it didn't matter for them but for the majority of top players, it does. You hear it all the time from them, their agents, etc.

Pretty sure Modric got bored of Europa League. (;

My reply was to a question about beating Arsenal so what has your reply of City or man U got to do with it?

Why? Villa beat Arsenal, and last time I checked no-one was thinking of them as title contenders.

Whilst I'll admit our start to the season has been flawed after the Cardiff game Spurs have won twice, 1-0, against pretty poor opposition, thanks to two penalties. Beat Arsenal, don't beat Arsenal, won't make any difference to your standing as a title contender, in as much as you won't be one.

Most people would compare him to Negredo and not know which one was betetr

This is my team to line up at the Emirates on Sunday.

GK: Lloris

RB: Walker
CB: Vertonghen
CB: Vlad
LB: Rose

CDM: Capoue
CM: Dembele
CM: Paulinho

RW: Lamela
ST: Soldado
LW: Sigurdsson

1-4 to Spurs with Soldado x3 and Capoue header

Apart from LW and LB... That's a near-perfect side.
