he's got a great post on the spurs forum saying Townsend is now worth £5m more as he was picked in the England squad

money money money

You don't think that becoming a full international, especially one for England, increases a player's worth?

Righty-ho then.

Whilst he may have been called up to the squad, unless he makes it into the matchday squad, he won't earn his "Cap" and therefore he won't be a full international.

By your reckoning, Rickie Lambert must now be worth £25m seeing as he got called up, got on the pitch and scored the winner.

You're deluded.

Marc Overmars has confirmed Tottenham are in talks with Ajax and Christian Eriksen over a possible deal, nout inked or confirmed yet though.

Yes, this one has been on the back burner for some time.

Vlad Chiriches should be the next player confirmed by Spurs.

While we are waiting does anybody think Spurs are more of a threat to us than the rags?
No.

As much as I'd like United to fail completely they always seem to find a way to find a way to make the sum of the parts greater than the individual parts themselves. United will be top 3, as will City and Chelsea.

I really do find this interesting.

Spurs took four points off United last season and had a slightly better record in the two games against City.

Yet you don't think we're a threat to you?
more fucking delusion

we took three points off each other, end of

by the way have you got a chart or table that shows me the relative positions of Spurs, Utd and City at the end of last season?

THFC bending facts to suit his delusion, who'd have thunk it?

Working on that then it may well activate a clause in his contract that wil mean that £5 million counts for nothing. Then again you have written all the contracts so will have a better insight than every other match going fan

By 5 million? He might not even get on the pitch, in fact it's likely he won't. If that's the case then I'd be surprised to see his value go up by more than a couple of hundred grand.

As for the righty-ho, like I said earlier, having this thread is only good to see at first hand how fucking deluded the spurs fans are.

Why deluded?

Steven Caulker, another product of Tottenham's Academy, recently went for £9,000,000 after being capped just once for England.

Attacking players normally go for more than defenders.

So saying that Townsend's value will increase by £5,000,000 as a full England international is hardly deluded, is it?

In fact, it's a rather conservative estimate.

No, not "end of".

There's the small matter of goal difference to consider.

When push comes to shove, such apparently trivial details can mean a great deal of difference.

It did. Look at last seasons league positions!. If goal difference between City v Spuds head to head is all you can go by shows your obsession

-- Wed Aug 28, 2013 5:19 pm --

Shall we take it over two seasons then, like you do with your net spend graphs ?

It's a load of bollocks, as is the majority of stuff you put on here. It's already been stated that you slag us off on your own forum yet still feel the need to come on here and be a dick.
If you can offer some conclusive proof that playing for England adds £5 million to your current value then in all ears - your one example with Caulker proves absolutely fuck all, apart from your ability to grab hold of straws is impressive.
I believe Matty posted some alternative players who managed a cap for England without it dramatically increasing their worth.
You carry on cherry picking your arguments though, I enjoy watching you being put right by people who follow the game and don't rely on graphs and pie charts to look like they know what's going on.

Pablo, mate, what's said is a very different matter to what's done.

I've challenged anyone to find a post of mine where I've slagged-off City on any other Forum.

Not surprisingly, no-one has been able to supply a single post.

The pressure is really on them for top 4 this season. Failing this time considering Arsenal haven't spent a penny could possibly be the bottle job of the decade. First hurdle will be the derby. Lets see what they're made of.

Shame about bale but they will piss 4th.

Stop and think about this for a moment or two.

And then you might realise where you're going wrong.

I'm still waiting to be educated on this

He gets "Out done" and embarrassed all the time on here he cherry picks his replies

Spurs are putting together a very useful team even with Bale moving to Madrid.

Chelsea have recruited as have we and I an see a shift at the top this year with Spurs more than capable of top 3.

Title between either us or Chelsea and then it's 2 from spurs, rags, arsenal.
