I really do find this interesting.

Spurs took four points off United last season and had a slightly better record in the two games against City.

Yet you don't think we're a threat to you?

without bale?? er no.

So you think having Gareth Bale makes Spurs stronger than Paulinho, Soldado, Chadli, Capoue & Lamela brought-in, Sandro & Kaboul back from injury and Rose & Townsend back from loan.

Plus whoever else Spurs sign before 2nd October (Christian Eriksen, Vlad Chiriches and perhaps a few more).

And I'm accused of being deluded!

Yes you are deluded if you think you can sign players up to the 2nd October!

-- Wed Aug 28, 2013 7:07 pm --

proof that it wound you up is proof that we havent anything more important to worry about.

Imo Spurs have now got a very very good squad. The best squad they've ever had, even without Bale.

They only finished 6 points behind us last season and now look a much stronger proposition.

Anyone on here writing them off is fucking deluded.

I've been supporting Spurs since the mid-1960s and the current Tottenham Hotspur squad is by far the strongest we've ever had during this period.

I think it's deluded to think those players will be enough to win a title in England. (;

But surely Spurs are ruining football signing all these foreign players. I'm sure SKY will point this out tomorrow.

England Combined Full & U21 Squads (50 players)

Manchester United 12
Liverpool & Tottenham Hotspur 6
Chelsea 5

Theo Walcott (Arsenal), Jack Wilshere (Arsenal)
Fraser Forster (Celtic)
Gary Cahill (Chelsea), Ashley Cole (Chelsea), Frank Lampard (Chelsea), Todd Kane (Blackburn Rovers, loan from Chelsea), Nathaniel Chalobah (Chelsea)
Will Hughes (Derby County)
Leighton Baines (Everton), Phil Jagielka (Everton), Ross Barkley (Everton), John Stones (Everton)
Glen Johnson (Liverpool), Steven Gerrard (Liverpool), Raheem Sterling (Liverpool), Daniel Sturridge (Liverpool), Jack Robinson (Blackpool, loan from Liverpool), Andre Wisdom (Liverpool)
Joe Hart (Manchester City), James Milner (Manchester City)
Phil Jones (Manchester United), Chris Smalling (Manchester United), Michael Carrick (Manchester United), Tom Cleverley (Manchester United), Wayne Rooney (Manchester United), Ashley Young (Manchester United), Danny Welbeck (Manchester United), Nick Powell (Manchester United), Tom Thorpe (Manchester United), Michael Keane (Manchester United), Jesse Lingaard (Manchester United), Wilfried Zaha (Manchester United)

he's got a great post on the spurs forum saying Townsend is now worth £5m more as he was picked in the England squad

money money money

You don't think that becoming a full international, especially one for England, increases a player's worth?

Righty-ho then.

Whilst he may have been called up to the squad, unless he makes it into the matchday squad, he won't earn his "Cap" and therefore he won't be a full international.

By your reckoning, Rickie Lambert must now be worth £25m seeing as he got called up, got on the pitch and scored the winner.

You're deluded.

Can THickFC0161 please respond, you seem to have painted yourself into a corner...

I did respond at the time.

You must have missed it.

But here it is again...

Steven Caulker, another product of Tottenham's Academy, recently went for £9,000,000 after being capped just once for England.

Attacking players normally go for more than defenders.

So saying that Townsend's value will increase by £5,000,000 as a full England international is hardly deluded, is it?

In fact, it's a rather conservative estimate.

See it's OK for these wankers to spend money. I hate these fuckers, for 1981 and for they way they
have pontificated about the money we have spent. Before you say, you earned it the right way and all that shit,
no you got it off you're owner just how we got ours.

Are Spurs now going to be called ''big spending Spurs'' on MOTD like we always are.....not a fucking chance

Stop and think about this for a moment or two.

And then you might realise where you're going wrong.

We are still waiting to be educated. Well come on

I've already explained this countless times on here.

In great detail.

And with tables.

Which were colour-coded.

I very much doubt doing it all over again will make the slightest difference.

So have a picture of Vlad Chiricheș arriving at Heathrow earlier today for his Spurs medical instead...
