Especially if they show a bit of common sense and fuck the Europa off as quickly as they can.

They won't with AVB, he'll try and win it. Which IMO is exactly the right attitude to take.

Spurs have got a strong enough squad to field competitive line-ups in all four competitions this season.

Being in Europe runs through the blood of Tottenham Hotspur.

This was something Harry didn't fully understand during his first season with us and it remains the only thing I can criticise him for.

Wibble

The Daily Telegraph are reporting that Ajax and Tottenham have agreed a €11m fee for Danish international midfielder Christian Eriksen.

That's about £9,450,000 at today's exchange rates.

Not a fucking prayer they are selling him for that

Good player. I remember him from our Champions League Group last season

Spurs a bit sure in the creative midfield dept. He should sort that out. Good fee too if true.

Yeah right... so many big clubs have bid for him, he won't be going that cheap.

Cherry picking again

Still confident Bale loves Spurs and is staying?

THFC, who will play LW for for Spurs? Decent attack. Soldado up top, Lamela on the right, Eriksen in the hole.

I quite like Boychick, favourable reporting does not indicate the truth. They will not sell for half his value, simple as that.

If true that's a great deal for Spurs.

Your unswerving faith in The Daily Telegraph is a touch naive, however.

I've got to be honest with you - there's so many players joining the club at the moment (and probably a few more on the way too) that I doubt AVB knows what his strongest line-up is, let alone me.

There are plenty of choices for the left side of midfield with Chadli, Sigurdsson, Townsend all able to play there if Gareth Bale does leave for Real Madrid.

It will probably be a case of horses for courses with different formations & players according to the opposition, venue and type of competition.

They've made some top signings but a shot at the title? Nah weak defence and a load of new players who will need a season to 'gel' and come to terms with the league. Forth will still be tough as I expect arsenal to add a few more players and Liverpool look strong to me. I see their season panning out a bit like ours the year we won the cup which would be a hugely successful campaign for them in my opinion.
Next year with a couple of sound additions especially at the back and another striker or two added to a year of experience for the new players then yeah I can definitley see them challenging.

So, just to clarify, the Daily Telegraph can be trusted completely, but Sky Sports can never ever be trusted?

Good to know.

Eriksen for 9m pounds would probably be the signing of the window. I thought the price was a lot higher when BVB wanted him a few months ago.

I'm simply confirming the source of the story.

Whether it actually comes off or not we'll only know when we see Eriksen in a Spurs shirt on the official club site.

With respect, saying "you want to argue with the Daily Telegraph?" is not simply confirming the source; it's suggesting that what they say is authorative. Which isn't necessarily the case.

And with the greatest possible respect to you, I'm saying that as it's the Daily Telegraph who are quoting this figure, and if you feel it is incorrect it is they you should be arguing with, not me.
