It's great to see the big man with a smile on his face once again, but I fear there is an underlying problem waiting to explode.
I've watched our last 3 matches again very closely and the majority of our team, Bellamy in particular are being more than a bit cool towards Ade. When he scored at Burnley he ran to the sideline and turned toward the pitch with his arms raised and none of our players came to congratulate him.
Again on Sunday, when he scored his 1st goal, Bellamy ran towards the crowd and away from Ade. It was Ade who ran toward Bellers and Bellers gave him a high 5 and immediately jogged on towards Barry who the majority of the team were congratulating. Barry was the only one from that scrum of players who went anywhere near Ade to congratulate him.
Adebayor obviously had issues with the players, staff & fans at Arsenal and his attitude when he 1st came here was that of a player who thought we were beneath him. This was proved by the fact that after Arsenal accepted our bid that his agents secretly offered him to the Scum & Chelsea who wern't interested.
What happened to him at the ACN would have affected anyone, but what didn't endear him to many of us, and proved that his head was still in North London was seeing him being interviewed on TV with an Arsenal shirt on.
I think with all that has happened to him this season and the fact that his agent made a lame attempt to highlight Ade's availabilty to AC Milan last week who wern't interested, is it time for all to bury the hatchet and move on?
On Sunday Ade had the look of a player who has accepted that for now, Man City is as good as it's going to get for him and we might not have been that bad a move for him after all!!!! From what I can see, he has a lot of making up to do with his team mates for his 'Mightier than thou' attitude and to us fans for some of his lazy indeffent displays before the ACN incident, let's hope for all our sakes he does and that he can realise his full potential with us.
