The turning point....

I despair when you have to include Lescott.
You are not comprehending well!
What other excuses or who else to scapegoat?

It's you that doesn't comprehend well

I specifically said that you can't blame anyone, so how is anyone a scapegoat?

Just stop with the personal vendettas blueprint, it's embarrassing for you, never mind 'disgraceful'.

And for the love of GOD! I know you have read my PMs to you, so why aren't you replying?

It was Christmas/New Year week - West Brom and Sunderland away.

United had lost two successive games in this period v Blackburn at home and Newcastle away, and we got one fucking point.

Five points tossed away.

No need to look anywhere else.

It would have broken the back of it with the existing lead we had.

totally agree that this proved the beginning of the end.

Yes you and I agreed agree that Ji Dong's goal was demoralizing.
There was no need of VK going after the passer with the ball especially when we have two of our defenders converging on him. VK, IMO shouldn't have turned his back on Dong to let him slipped thru uncovered and unmarked. Dong was his man. IMO the goal was preventable.
Now what we disagree was should VK be held accountable or responsible?
Remember with every great esteem or accolade heaped or given (him being team and defense captain & top WC CB) comes greater responsibility. Don't you think the buck should stop there?

Thats why the goal was demoralizing. We expect more from our captain and we didn't see that coming.

Isn't this comment fair?

No player, even if its VK, should be beyond reproach. If VK had a bad game or his mistake or shortcoming cost us let us tell it as it is. You have a right to disagree but do not vilified us for telling it as it is.

Sabster was vilified for telling the truth about NDJ being a mediocre or average player as a central midfielder and was crucified for saying so. In hindsight he was right as most sensible BMers (other than rags or scums and the Legion of NDJ's sycophants here) have come to realize that.
I have given stats and facts about NDJ's negative and disgraceful performances especially him being castigated by his Dutch manager and the Dutch public.
To wit NDJ for his flying kick and his 2010 WC Dutch team & the Spanish team for their disgraceful behavior in the WC finals.
Now which part of my English you don't understand about disgraceful.
Under those circumstances you can understand why he has no moral authority to pontificate about another of his team mates' behaviour. Pudge you continue to support NDJ for his intervention against Mario in the free kick. Did you see Dzeko or the others intervened?
Once again I asked you is NDJ the team captain or the team spokesman?

Pudge stop being disgraceful by continuing the charade. Your fudging is shameful (especially about the 2 yds offside).

If NDJ's sycophants continue to laud and extol him and place him on a pedestal they are wronging us City fans!
Ask yourself has NDJ won any ETIHAD award for Player of the Month? Please take your time remembering I'm not the only one voting.

Pudge, stop the charade and be pragmatic and realize that we need a WC central midfielder to replace an average or poor man central midfielder. Thats what a number of us would like that position to be addressed. As some of the others here and elsewhere have indicated NDJ is not going to meet our future needs if we want to be a top world class outfit.

IMO our thoroughbreds was unequally yoked and was knackered chasing a winner with the starting lineup. That to me was the turning point of the season.

I read the parts in bold and most of your assumptions are just that, I have never lauded de Jong to the extent you think i have.

Anyway you're straying from the topic just to persecute the 2 players you have an unjust personal dislike for. As for your claim to that goal was 'preventable', yes it was preventable had THE LINESMAN DONE HIS JOB.

However, you clearly have problems, as other posters have pointed out so I'm going to ignore your bullshit, unfounded comments from now on. I think it's best for both of us seeing as English isn't your first language and you are just down right embarrassing yourself.

Toodles

Turning point for me was on the train back to Edinburgh with my son on the Sunday, after we'd been down for the Blackburn game and he was checking the scores on his mobile, Utd were drawing 1-1 at Norwich and I remember thinking...that's a bonus, puts us 4 points clear and plus they will get humped at Spurs away next week...bingo...we'll be 7 points clear, still playing well.
And then, about 5 minutes after the game should have finished he checks again says bad news Dad, Utd have scored in injury time.
At that point my heart sank and I just had this feeling that that was it..

I was pissed that the scum went to London three times in February and came back with 2 wins and a draw - we didn't expect that did we?? Their Norwich result didn't help me either.

Balotelli and Kompany ban, no penalty for silva, yaya being away, no cover in squad so having to play savic.

Also the fact the rags kept being helped to 1-0 wins which meant we couldn't get that gap we needed to win the league.

All in all we've basically had our pants pulled down by Sky and their cronies.

The 6-1, we alerted the powers that be just how good we were, after that we had little chance. The bookings and sendings off after that game proves it.

...was the semi final's against Liverpool in CC.

My major disappointment of the season was the semi of the Carling Cup, as over 2 legs we should have beaten a poor liverpool team even without Yaya and Vinny. The stupidity of the situation was that this competition was seen as expendable, however it has had a huge impact on how the rest of the season has turned out.

Success breds success, confidence is a untangible property - hard to gain, easy to lose, and winning becomes a mentality.

If we had won the CC, which was on a plate, it would have been another trophy, another trip to wembley, another marker in our progress. It would have taken the pressure off us and helped us in this run in on the basis of the extra confidence factor that lifting silverware always gives, and the fact that we would have a trophy in the bag.

Too many on here had the attitude of "I don't give a shit about the CC or FA cup, or Europa league2 and actively stated they wanted us to go out of those competitions as it "would help us concentrate on the PL"

That has been shown to be bollocks. You can't lose games and expect there to be no knock on effect on form and confidence.

To be fair I think the managment had this attitude to an extent too. Manchini saw the opportunity for the league and basically sacrificed everything to try and win it. This has turned out to be a very poor decision and counter productive. The "all eggs in one basket" strategy looks shit when you fuck the one basket left up.

I am convinced that we would be in a different position if had won the CC and our naiviety in this respect cannot be repeated again.

Next season please do not say "it would be good to go out of xyz cup" so we can conentrate on the league.

It is bollocks and cannot be done in that way - everything is linked, as has been shown this season.

Next season REMEMBER all competitions are related and you cannot treat any in isolation

You forget that we weren't helped by the fact we had played the rags with 10 men in the previous game and a dodgy penalty awarded against us both ties imo but particularly in the second leg.

But i agree our fans who couldnt turn up for a semi final and sell the place out demonstrated our apathy and hunger as fans for winning another trophy. This mentality can only trasmit to the players on the pitch. Liverpool just wanted it more and the atmosphere was electric at anfield.
