I have the feeling that our best formation is 3-5-2 when everyone is fit;
For me Sane is our player with the greatest potential, and like you see with Messi and Ronaldo, you want these players to play more centrally where they can do the most damage. I think a strike partnership of Sane-Aguero/Jesus would be devastating, Sane also has the freedom to drop deep in midfield or go wide as a winger so we can take advantage of him more:
-------------------------Sane/Sterling------Aguero/Jesus----------------
Mendy--------D Silva/Gundogan/Zinch-----Dinho/Fred-----Kevin/B Silva----------Walker/Maffeo
-----------Laporte/Delph----------Otamendi/Stones/Kompany---------Danilo/Walker/Kompany
I think the whole squad could play in a 3-5-2, even Delph as a LCB (he almost plays like that in his inverted FB position), Danilo can also play as a RCB as can Walker.
I think that looks good on paper, my only issue with 3 atb systems is they are fundamentally inferior in terms of pressing, the extra CB in the back means you have one less player up front helping you press, it also limits your passing options up front, but is strong when playing out from the back.
