As the clock ticks towards another possible spending spree in January, this time under a manager with far more ability and a bigger draw than Hughes there are tons of names being bandied about.

What I was wondering though was this - if money is no object what is the best starting 11 in the world.

Of course there would have to be decisions made as most people would perhaps say Messi, Ronaldo, Ribery and Robinho but that wont work will it?

I would be looking at changing our keeper as well as although good he is not the best, Buffon anyone?

So you're the Sheikh who would you buy?

Toulalan from Lyon. Class act.

i only think we need 3 player in january 4 max

a top left back - lahm?
top right back - maicon
a world class centre half - chilleini?
and possibly an attacking midfielder or winger i.e Ribery

No not Chiellini! Have people watched him play regularly on here? If they have they'd realise he is grossly over rated and pretty much crap!

terry cooke and robbie fowler from north queensland fury and danny tiatto from brisbane roar, the three greatest players to ever grace australian football. to be honest though not sure even we have the money for them three "stars" you should see them play, sublime!

Hilarious. I've watched every Juventus game this season and Chiellini and Buffon have both been extraordinary.

GK - Casillas
RB - Maikon
CB - Terry
CB - Chellini
LB - Lahm
CDM - Essien
CAM - Xavi
RW - Iniesta

Now that my friend is a proper answer.

None of this, we only need 3 players poop.

I asked for the worlds best 11 as I think that that is what the sheikh wants in the end.

Its about buying a club and ignoring what players they have unless they are the very best in their chosen position.
