Utd fans and staff love nothing better than to gratefully pounce on the moral high ground when given the rare chance. I expect all sorts of faux-anger and indignation over this, with teen talk of 'no class' from the Facebook generation. They expected the big red glory bus would never end when they jumped on. They signed up for glory and it's gone, at the hands of their whipping boys.

Truth is they will be secretly delighted to have a focus for their grief and shock.
