I thought the thread was about the Walking Dead game (which is freaking awesome)

Oh well.
Tv show smashes the fuck out if the game by some distance

No, it doesn't. If you're refering to the Walking Dead Game by Telltale.

The one based off the series looks horrible.

Got the game it's shit I stopped after about an hour. The tv series is one of the best things made on tv for a long while.

Just caught the episode aired in America last night. This episode is up there with the best no question.

Most action i've seen yet, what a shoot out that was, cant wait for whats to come, i'm assuming retaliation. Good to have Daryl back in the camp and looks like Mishone's staying which is needed because she can slay a zombie! Couldn't take my eyes of that gun scene at the end though!

na- ah!!!!!

(i think not)

Unfortunately, the reality of most of todays games is that they are now bereft of real emotional engagement and soul. You can put a strong case that games have lacked that since nintendo 64, PS1 era and now its all about appeasing the mainstream (with the diluted rpgs, shortened and shallow story line and the wii nonesense), voilence and making profits. What is the point of having another God of war or halo game or making 2 call of duty games every year apart from pushing for more profits and by doing so distorting or devaluing the story by essentially making things up.

Sometimes, I watch the opening credits from ocarina of time just to fill myself with nostalgia and hope.

The Walking Dead is a breath of fresh air- not only is it innovative in terms of gameplay mechanics and plot design( series layout) but also one of the most emotionally stimulating and engaging games outthere at the moment.

The tv series.....meh.
