The 'We Will Win the Title' Thread (merged)

Unless there is a major Chelsea collapse we have to WIN every game but one and DRAW that.

I agree. My gut feeling is that Chelsea will drop another 10 points in their last 12 games.

10 wins, 1 draw, 86 points and GD sees us through.

The hard, but not impossible part, will be getting 31 points out of 33.

Can you imagine the media reaction if we did!

Going to be tough...Chelsea are grinding out results...and maybe making their own luck...West Ham could have taken all 3 but another clean sheet...might be their defence that edges it. What is clear is that we have no margin for error.

Their defence is solid. They just don't concede.

Well Sean Goater reckons Chelsea will win the league when asked after the game tonight like the impartiality ;).

I will be very surprised if we win the title now .
I just want us to secure second nothing more .
That chasing pack of Arsenal , Man United and Liverpool keep winning .
So let's just concentrate on top 4

They still have to play Arsenal , Manure, Liverpool , Southampton and Stoke.

But it does seem we will need to pick up 28 points from out last 10 games to be in with a real shout of winning the title.

Going on past Chelsea records you would expect them to win all of their remaining home games and perhaps draw the ones against top sides away. You can throw in a loss somewhere as one most probably will occur, but they are generally very strong against the best sides in the division. They've been lucky over the years though and if they catch any of those teams listed on a good day and they don't quite perform, they could lose them all. We have to play a lot better to win our remaining games though. I think we've slipped up one too many times this season, though I imagine we'll be within 3 points of them come the end of the season.

So on that thinking won't we also struggle against Sourhampton and the rags?

Chelsea's only really tough games for me are Liverpool at home and Arsenal away but I don't think Mourinho has ever lost a game to Wenger.

I think Chelsea will drop maybe 7 points maximum. A loss and 2 draws.

Even if they drop more, there is no way we will win 10 games on the bounce if we don't sort our defence out.

As everyone else won last night we need to make sure we focus on the job and cement 2nd. If Chelsea implode then all well and good but there is also the need to make sure we are in CL next season as a must with the increase in money.

Unfortunately Chelsea are capable of playing more than one way, as seen by their obvious intentions when City played at Stamford Bridge.
City have one method which has worked well against the lower teams, but as we didn't win at Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool, it's a bit naive to assume that we will win at United and Spurs.
