The Welcome To Manchester Banner Really Got To Fergie

He's a narcissist and a bully. He's Exhibit A of a person living by the credo "the ends justify the means." Completely and totally self-absorbed and self-interested. How else can one publish such revisionist history ("we battered them for 40 minutes") with a straight face?
He knows the vast majority of journalists (sorry I mean reporters) will gloss over that sort of shite while inserting their tongues up his rear end. From excerpts published here it seems there is a lot to take exception to yet only Jon Snow has the balls to do it.
But is anybody surprised?

Seriously! Is he for real?

As I recall they dominated possession and territorially for just over 20 minutes from the start of the game until Balo scored, but that assertion is laughable. They didn't manage to threaten our goal seriously at all while they were on top and as soon as we went ahead we started to control the game. (When we beat Huddersfield 10-1, they posed us far more of a threat early in the match than the Rags did in the 6-1.)

Ferguson is so used to the football world not questioning what he says that he thinks he can rewrite history.
huddersfield murdered us for 1st 20 min ov that game till mcnab scored freezin on the kippax that day!!

You are spot on, they did dominate possession but looked utterly toothless. They had to resort to 2 long range efforts from about 25 yards, one from Rooney, I think the other one was Anderson. Both went straight at Hart. Me or you could have saved them. Even in that 20 minute spell of domination we had a few breakaways were we looked really dangerous & might score at any moment. I recall one incident when Silva almost broke through & it took about 5 United players surrounding him to dispossess him. Another moment when Clichy broke from his left back position & bombed forward & cut inside & burst through the middle. In fact for the whole 90 minutes whenever we went forward it looked like a goal was on the cards.

After Carlos Tevez featured in a controversial "Welcome to Manchester" poster following his move to the Blues, Ferguson said: “It’s City isn’t it? They are a small club, with a small mentality. All they can talk about is Manchester United, that’s all they’ve done and they can’t get away from it.”
Pot and kettle moment. Inigo Martinez own goal - cue "kicking a Blue" nursery rhyme from the unwashed.
