The welsh

Is Ched Evans MH's love child? Cause I can't understand why he keeps playing him.

Or the highest number of VC's ever awarded for a single action

the welsh connection with rorke's drift is one of the biggest myths in military history and was perpetuated by the film 'zulu'. at that time the 24th foot was a warwickshire regiment. it didn't become the south wales borderers until the army reforms of 1881 and that was only because they had a depot in brecon.

11 victoria crosses were won at rorke's drift - a grand total of 2 of them to welshmen. 7 were awarded to englishmen, one to an anglo-irishman and one to a swiss. if you read 'the silver wreath' by norman holme he includes a list of known birthplaces of rorke's drift defenders in the 24th foot. there were more cockneys and irish than welsh and almost as many lancastrians.

Oi! You've got your own specialist thread for Ms Jenkins Mike. Behave!
You reminded me by posting Catherine Zeta Jones, and funnily enough, she was the first
Welsh bird I could think of.
Bet you're not complaining about the pic though?
