Who said the BBC wasn't?

They all have an agenda, be it because they are owned by the state, run by them or nothing to do with them. No news station in the world is free from bias, it's just up to the viewer/ reader to decide for themselves who to believe/ trust slightly more than the others.

I don't trust Russian news reporting, even REGNUM, one bit.

Where do I start?

Media is controlled by the state, or to be more specific, Putin and his lovely gang of helpers. You only hear what they want you to hear and even then it's only snippets. Look at the inquiry into the World Cup. The Russians hired their equipment and then got rid of the evidence. Where are the laptops now? No idea. Destroyed. Whatever. We are clean. Completely.

Would I trust this story based on the fact that a Russian media outlet released it? 100% no.


I only mentioned the Russian media due to this story being released by Russian media.

The same could be said for most of the worlds media, look at America. Look closer to home.

We are only being fed what they think we need to be fed. Happens the world over.

That's sort of the issue I'm highlighting. Dismissing a whole countries media output because a different country or a collection of them have painted it as propaganda is in itself succumbing to propaganda. I find it easier to treat all news stories as agenda driven like you, but try to remember that even the "bad guys" are only bad guys because we live in a country that says they are.

I usually trust a news report from a country that allows free speech, or at least the very ideals of free speech. Although the editors bias might nudge the story in a direction they want it will be a lot cleaner than one from a country that puts out news reports like this one.

I know you are playing a wee bit of the devils here mate but to say that the bad guys are only bad guys because we say they are is a bit trite.

I trust Western news to show the corruption and oppression of those in the East, and the Russian media to expose the hypocrisy of the West. Long story short, they are all fanatical lizard-men.
