The Willy post game thread (merged)

Let this be a lesson to all. Always back a blue. Moaning about our own only makes as bad as the scousers who like to play the I love / Hate Mignolet every week.

Not a problem with criticising decisions and players. But there were posters calling him a prick and a ****.
Most have nothing to apologise for. Some need to hide away for a long while. But they won't.

Got to hold my hands up and apologise to Willy. I thought it was a triumph of hope over expectation after what was really a poor display at Chelsea but in 120 minutes he went from whipping boy to absolute legend.

Me too. My use of words like "that useless wanker Caballero" before the match may have confused some Blue Mooners. What I actually meant obviously was "three cheers for our wonderful Willy". Ahem......

I didn't want him to play - but he WON THE CUP - looks like Manuel knows better than us so, Willy, Manuel I APOLPOGISE

Not afraid to admit I was fucking raging when it was announced he was in goals......not too proud to admit he was amazing! The save from lalanas penalty was stunning!

you stick your willy in
you pull your willy out
in out shake him all about
you pick the caballero
and you beat the scouse

That what it's all about.....

whoah willy caballero
whoah willy caballero
whoah willy caballero
He came, he went, and beat the fucking scouse!!!

Yes me too, well done Willy, superstar today

Have to confess that I had a feeling that it would be Willy's day. His penalty saves were superb and that third one will forever remain high on my list of favourite saves because you just knew it had effectively won us the cup. Delighted for him and Pellers and everyone connected with City.

Great to see Hart celebrating his saves and hugging him more than once after the match.

You could see how much it meant to him. I dare say that all the criticism he received really hurt him and this was his way of feeling he had redeemed himself. Chuffed to see him have a big performance and hope it will push all of our boys to keep going
