The Willy post game thread (merged)

When it went to penalties I said to the bloke next to me "this is why we needed Joe playing". Someone else said on here "never been happier to be wrong", which encapsulates my feelings exactly. Absolute utter hero, it's not that they missed, he saved them. Fantastic display and for all the "only Mickey mouse cup" bullshit I've heard in the days following, certainly won't be forgotten by me. Every bit of silver is precious, no other club can say given the chance of a league cup or nothing they would take nothing, which is why it's bullshit. Willy Caballero, another addition to our rich history ;-) ('istree to any of the lurking scousers)

Fair play to pellers for his judgement and having the well placed confidence in him to make the selection too.

Willy being a hero proves typical City is still alive and well. Slated by the media and 98% of blues, myself included, ( Sorry Willie ) he goes out and plays like bloody Gordon Banks.

The tears at the end showed what it meant to him. Beautiful just beautiful.

While the rags and scousers live off the fumes of their history, we're making it. "Willy, Capital One Cup Final Hero" slots nicely on the shelf with the "6-1 Old Scaffold massacre" and the "Aguerooooooo! goal" and so many more.

The media are reluctant to admit it, but this is our time.
