The winner by Vinnie v Leicester

Wasn't there a bloke selling "No, Vinny, no!" t-shirts in Manchester the day after the match?

Tell me about that. What's the story? (Saw the game on French tv, so don't know anything about that backstory).
I'm too low-tech to upload the clip on here, but it has been on these very pages many times in the past, so some hi-tech type could sort it
Kelly was broadcasting live on Five 5 at the time of the goal (with Pat Nevin and Chris Sutton if memory serves). They both go crazy when the goal goes in, Ms Dalglish does not!

The thing I love about the version on the Sky Sports promo is that you get to see the cameraperson (City TV?) raise their hand in celebration when the ball hits the net. He/she are just above the exit of the disappearing fan... between the score. Get in there, Yeeeeessssss Vinny

I'll be honest with you. I can never listen to Five Live because it's not available outside the UK (and they somehow know when you're using VPN, the bastards). So I didn't even know who “Kelly” was. Finally understood from your final sentence that it's Kenny Dalglish's daughter.
So if I understand it correctly, we've got yet another bloody Liverpool supporter who is now taking over to host MOTD! Where does this end…?

The goal is technical perfection. Kicks it across his body to keep it low and steer it left around Slabhead. It then reverses and hits the very top right hand corner, giving Kasper no chance. He couldn't have hit it better if he tried another 999 times.

If memory serves me correctly I think as a team we'd tried it about 999 times that evening!

Step daughter had a baby a few weeks before then and was asleep - I was watching via the lap top in the kitchen and gave out the loudest yell ever from my lungs for a City goal - I too had semi shouted “don’t shoot” before freaking out as the step daughter thanked me for waking the baby up!
Clues in the username

Pep and Vinny looking at each other after the game. Both knowing that goal won the title and destroyed the scousers should be immortalised in a mosaic at the etihad.

Love that pic - I have it on my wall at home. I reckon Pep wants to bollock Vinnie because it’s not in his playbook to do that but he can’t and they both know that. Great great player and leader was our Vinnie.

It ends in 20 years when all the senior commentators will be City fans.

I’m overseas and can get Five Live and most radio stations by using Tune In app.

Though they do block commentary of some events but not all.

Those people leaving, haha, fucking hell you missed history right there!

I reckon you're right. Pep looking at Vinnie and thinking “You've been a naughty boy, you know”.

And because it's always worth reposting. I call it “The Prophet has seen God, and he sees that God's works are good”.
