Any one seen a tribute band there? Im going to see a Who one on Sat night-wondered wether the place is ok?
 
Excellent venue, seen loads of bands there over the years. Just made me reminisce of the old Spread Eagle around the corner which was the original heavy rock/bikers pub.
 
Why does only the opinion of people who've seen a tribute band there interest you?

I saw The Damned there in about 1983 and it was a great venue. Bit like a mini Apollo.

Possibility it may have changed a bit in the last 30 years though I suppose.

Ah, the Witchwood. Every Friday night between the ages of 16 and 25. Seen loads of awful shit in there and had many a top night.

Yeah I got that bit. It's the tribute band bit I don't quite see the relevance of.

What the fuck is so funny about The Damned anyway?
 
Excellent place, i dont watch bands there but there is a room at the front for us types and the venue for bandwatchers at the back, bit rough and ready but iv been going in for 35 years and love it, good mix of people as well, watch out for Tracy off Corrie think shes still a regular
 
Havent been there in years, does it still get busy at the weekend?
The rest of ashton is on its arse now at the weekend isnt it? So just wondered how the witchwood is doing?

do you mean the old tracy im guessing pal ? seen plenty there and a good night to be had seen a few tribute acts for what its worth and all been decent enough im pretty sure they dont let any old shite play
