Where did you have yours?
Was it free food/drink?

Mine: FECK ALL.
Been at current place for 4 years. Year 1, 2 pints free on a £5 ticket??? Next 2 were "we are not contributing, sorry but organise your own". This year, the management have organised their own do and not mentioned a fecking thing to staff.

So go on, am I the only one with a shite employer? PS: No bonus either.

BAH HUMBUG!

for thirty three years i worked for the same employer and the only Christmas doo would be one we organise and pay for.

took another job a month ago and we have a hot finger buffet lunch Wednesday followed by a meeting, then they are taking us out for a meal and booze, whilst putting us up in a really nice hotel
the next day we have another morning meeting followed by Christmas lunch!!!!

Are you being serious? The words ''fire, ''us'', ''on'', ''if'', ''we'', ''piss'', ''were'''' and ''wouldn't'' spring to mind.

Haha think I win we went to Copenhagen all free was great apart from the fall down the stairs which hurt a lot :(

i threw it out there this year. usually go out to eat somewhere nice, a few beers and possibly a flyer to a casino. this year they chose the dogs. it was ok really, i put a kitty in for beer and bets so they wouldn't get spanked. dont know much about dogs but in the end i got 2 trio's up and 4 forcasts so had a free night :)

My boss is as generous as they come. I'm just terrible at social gatherings so I probably won't go. There is no bonus if you don't go though, you just miss out on paid dinner and beer.

Don't be miserable get out there and have free fun. Must admit though been on so many do's so far am getting a bit jaded

After a career in the public service till 2013 am still getting used to this Christmas do lark.
Last year it was Shrigley Hall, all paid, coach, free bar, stay over etc.
This year my boss took us to Abode. Not really my kinda thing and prefferred the B Lounge next door after if honest.
Certainly an experience though drinking wine at 165 quid a bottle and the miniscule bit of food on the plate having it's life history detailed at every course upon serving.

Last Thursday had our own office one in restaurant in Surbiton which we pay for
Friday had Hampton Court Palace staff party, food and drink all free
