Hernandez and Haaland and we would be unstoppable
I've wondered the same. I suspect insurance isn't worth much because the premiums would be absolutely colossal on big money players.Out of interest..if we are to buy a LB, can someone with some insight explain what happens with Mendy if he gets a custodial sentence ? I assume the club can cancel his contract should that happen, but does the club simply then lose the value of the player (admittedly not much given recent performances) or do they have insurance to cover such a scenario ? Often wondered what happens if a player gets a career ending injury or a gets a custodial sentence.

I would have thought we could sack him and annul the contract too.Was hearing City could claim back his book value on what duration was left on his contract at the time?
Bought for £52m and spread over six years, so with just 20 months left, we're looking at offsetting roughly £13m.
That's more than we could ever have got paying his wages, watching him still walk away for free at the end of seeing out his contract.

I don't what this to sound too heartless towards the victims but, as you allude to, from an MCFC point of view it's saved us lots of money.Yep, they would sack him under breach of contract.
He's back in court this Friday I think?
