Sorry if already posted, but i have a feeling that there will be a new shirt the lads will be wearing on saturday! the reason i think this is due to the new video on the OS (http://www.mcfc.co.uk/Video/Features/FA-Cup-Final-City-shirt-pt1) at the end the guy says "for the manchester city shirt that umbro have created FOR THE FA CUP FINAL THIS YEAR" , and that for me say its a new kit altogether, its is a short cheeky video to get us thinking and they would not make a video series to show they have stitched a few lines of text above the badge (fa cup shirt for sale on the OS), because that kit was designed for the season and then had an addition to it. i may be thinking in to it a bit but.. please let me know what you think?
 
Clutching at straws. I presume by 'new shirt' they mean 'have added lettering above the badge'.
 
The Mercer jacket has been especially designed for the Final with the coat of arms on it! So theres still hope yet. Here's the link from MCFC's official facebook page.

Has anyone spoke to the likes of Garry Cook and had a definite answer as to why we aren't wearing the coat of arms yet? (risking a picture of the titanic posted)

He was at the Swinton club and I asked that very question. He didn't answer it properly to be honest - which was unusual as he was surprisingly honest and truthful about everything else - he just said that the club had something planned and shouldn't even had said that much. I'm guessing that we have got something special lined up and he didn't want to spoil the surprise - just let a bit of a teaser out.

He said that the club didn't feel releasing an FA Cup final shirt was fair with next seasons due so soon. I explained that we've waited 35 years for the opportunity to wear such a shirt and it wouldn't be perceived as a way of squeezing more money out of us if one was reeased. He seemed a little surprised when quite a few others agreed with that sentiment.
 
Yesterdays metro had city shirt with coat of arms.saying this is the shirt city will b playing in
 
maybe the thread created for that "customized" shirt was actually the shirt...seems very likely at this point, it was just TOO PERFECT.
